Hi Claire - I am sooooo excited! It just dawned on me that I will be celebrating my 35th Birthday on board too! Party time! :cool1:

WOw a chatty bunch, got home yesterday, I was 6 days on the road.

Basement project is almost done , might finish this weekend, will get Lynn all ready to make the call on 10/14.

I am liking the kilt Idea.

Tut!! I forget not everyone is retired!!!:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Nooooo, I would never forget you Monica. I was just mentioning folk that Claire would know from over here. I know Claire from another excellent board!!!;)

Well, I won't be cruising then!!!:scared1:

Well, maybe Cunard!! When we booked the QM2 Transatlantic we were asked if we needed wheelchairs or oxygen. Can't remember being asked that as a matter of course when booking DCL!!

:rotfl2: Lol Maz, I guess it shows that different lines attract different types of people.

Just a quick question, is it ok to take water and alcohol onboard for drinking in your cabin? If so is the fridge stocked or empty so you can put your own goodies in there?

Yes but it must be in your carry on.

You can also have them deliver water/sodas to your stateroom, but they charge an arm and a leg for it.

How much/size of carry on are you allowed? I take it both water and alcohol has to be in carry on?

Claire ;)

As much as you want, but it has to fit through a scanner like at the airport and then you have to carry the bags with you until 1:30 when the rooms open up.

Water is expensive on the ship, but being overseas I plan on ordering a case for each room and reusing the bottles to avoid the hassle of bringing it with us.

Standard size carry on, I believe. Pretty much whatever you can carry on the ship without needing help.:rotfl2:

I know standard size for airlines differ as US are more generous than UK, so I take it we go by the US sizes? Or could you take a small suitcase on wheels?

That's a good idea too.

I don't know exactly. Like Gydell said, it just has to fit through the xray machine at the port and then you have to be okay carrying around until you can get to your room.
