I've just realised that the cost of this cruise is double what I thought! I just presumed the cost was double occupancy - I'm so dim!

Now i'm pretty sure I won't be able to persuade John.

You don't have air or extra hotel rooms to pay for so it's a bargain for you! Plus the pound is better than the dollar.
How far from the port are you - you can rent rooms out for the summer.

My dad and I might book this cruise, I am trying to talk him into the transatlantic cruise back, but if not we will be booking this one. My dad loves the ports and his dad's family is from Copenhagen, Denmark so we will be thinking long and hard about what cruise to take, will prob/deff do this one and not transatlantic because my dad loves the ports, oh well, maybe I'll win the lotto and do both

My parents are going all out for this one. We're waitlisted for a Cat. 2, but yesterday my dad said we'll even try for the Cat 1. So now I'm sitting here patiently waiting for IC to call, NOT!!!!

No air fare for sure, which of course we normally have, but add on all the costs of the excursions, and it isn't worth going to those places and not going out and about, plus Norway and I guess some other countries are very very expensive.

We must be around 300 miles from Dover. I would have to start cleaning now if this house had to be ready to take visitors!!!

Kevin is on the phone now with our DVC guy trying to find out WHEN the points will be released for this one. Its so frustrating no to know. We were going to add on points if need be to cover this one or pay OOP for one person but MS is telling us point info won't be available until the 14th. Not cool. I need to know so I can plan.

Our home resorts are SSR and AKV so far, thinking of adding 100 at BLT. Not sure yet.
Why they don't have the prices and the points at the same time is beyond me.

DVC says they are w waiting on DCL. DCL says they have no idea why the points aren't released. URGH

Our DVC guy is going to call us when he knows something. All else fails we will book with cash and transfer to points, which lady at MS said would be ok and no problem. We shall see.

Rumor is you can book via DVC with a status of points to be determined , able to cancel if ya don't like the numbers, or soemthing like that, also they say charts should be out by 10/14.

I called DCL earlier to see IF they had any idea when IC might start calling people. At first she said it wouldn't be until the 14th, then she said it might be before the 14th once they get all the info into the computers. Shouldn't they have had that done before they announced the itineraries?

Emily I just think maybe we just expect it NOW NOW NOW lol. I'm so excited for this cruise. Has anyone done any excursion research from other cruiselines? I'm wondering what we can expect cost wise for each port. I need to get my google on and get to work looking.

I know I expect it NOW, NOW, NOW. I'm super excited. I've looked a little bit at what Royal Caribbean offers and I've also looked at Cruise Critic too. From what I remember, not surprisingly, Russia looked to be pretty expensive, but there's a variety to choose from in a variety of costs. I've also been watching Samantha Brown's Passport to Europe. On Monday, she was in Helsinki and on Friday she'll be in Copenhagen. Gotta love the Travel Channel.
