Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Anyone hear about the boy that was killed at WDW yesterday?

Nooooooooooooo! But then again I don't normally watch the evening news and I leave for work before being able to read the newspaper.

What happened?

Is anyone interested in doing a tour with Gallivant Productions in Stockholm? The tours are usually at 10am, but they have said they would do an early one at 8.30am if people are interested.

Essentially it seems to be a "Viking Tour" of "Ice Age to Ikea" through the old town. Gets great reviews and goes for 90mins.

If there are 10 or less (including children) the cost is SEK 1125 (approx $160 USD). For each extra person the cost is SEK1125 + SEK 125pp(approx $17).

Trip Advisor rate it really highly, and at least it is open that early?? So, any takers?

The three of us are already booked with Gallivant for the 10:00 am tour but would be interested in moving to an earlier tour if their is a group. An earlier tour would be better for us if it can be arranged.

OK Thanks. There is 4 of us, so it won't take long to make 10. I don't really mind if it is less than 10, as it is not expensive.

Temperature hit 26 Celcius (78.8 Farenheit) today! A record breaker for April :banana:

Hello and Happy Easter!

Today was beautiful, our first day without any rain in awhile. We are supposed to get more rain tomorrow. I feel so much better now that I actually stopped playing around and ordered my FE gifts! Now if I could just get the guys to give me their answers for the Secret Mickey exchange:rolleyes1

Marianne:yay:

Good Morning Cruisers!

I am also disappointed at the early departure from Stockholm, and although we did not book any tours and were planning to tour on our own, I guess we will just have to rethink our day there.

I couldn't help myself and started putting some clothes in a big storage tub that I want to take:rotfl: Husband may start wondering where all his clothes are disappearing to:lmao: It makes me feel like I'm doing something towards the cruise besides just waiting!

Marianne

I have had the suitcases out on the "packing room" bed for quite a while now, some things are already packed, others our hanging in that closet - it is mostly my stuff - Scott's stuff will be packed later.

Happy Easter to All!

Have a great week!

We were also disappointed about the early departure from Stockholm. Now we have 2 1/2 days at sea to end the voyage. Well at least we'll be rested and relaxed before we do our whirlwind 2day tour of London before going home.

My DD is standing here (waiting for me to help her make the frosting for our carrot cake) and wants to know if anyone is interested in a Kids Thread for the 1st Baltic Cruise. She is 9 and will turn 10 just before the cruise.

Well, DS is 18, so sorry she probably doesn't care about a thread w/ him!! :lmao:

...but, I had to comment on the carrot cake. About 18 years ago I picked up a lamb cake mold in the clearance at Target just for fun. Since carrot cake is the only one I like (family recipe :goodvibes) I baked the "lamb" that way w/ the cream cheese icing for our Easter celebration the next year...yum.

Someone in the family dubbed it the "sacrificial lamb" (hope i'm not offending anyone w/ that, my family is full of joksters ), and I've made it ever since. DS & all his cousins grew up with it & Easter being synonymous... :rotfl:

Also, just emailed address on the first page, hoping to officially join the roster? Thanks everyone for the great tips in this thread!!! Amazing! :worship:

I think this is a great idea. I actually suggested it several weeks ago and nobody responded to it then.

I am DD of the 4boons and will be 16 on the cruise.

I finally gave up on hopes for cheaper airfare and booked our flights to London today. I can't believe what a relief I felt when I hit the
"submit" button. Must have been stressing about this more than I thought. So now I need to get specific about getting to and from the port. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but what time does the cruise terminal open for boarding in Dover and what time is realistic for getting off the ship for disembarking.

The terminal opens at 10:00 and boarding begins at 1:00. Can't help with disembarking as this is our first Disney cruise.

Happy Easter:wave:

We aren't getting the beautiful spring day that I remember as being Easter. It's windy, raining and cold:sad1:

Welome! I did get your email and hope to do a roster update tonight or at least by tomorrow night.

When I do the next update I am going to post some names of folks we have not heard from in a while. I have tried to make contact to see if they are still sailing with no response. We may just drop them from the list so we have a good list of folks travelling
