Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

no flights yet for us either. We think we will fly Virgin Atlantic on Wed, arriving Thursday. But it's still "up in the air"! :lmao:

Probably either Delta or British Airways for us, just have to compare prices as we get a little closer, probably after we get back from Disney next month.

Any idea when they should be releasing excursion information for the Baltic?

I don't feel as organized as I usually am for these things. Still haven't booked flights, hoping for better rates! Lots of plans revolve around the actual arrival and departure dates...

I called last week and asked too. Was told they "are stilling working on final details".

Would like some planning time before the booking window opens so we can decide what to do.

Haven't booked flights either. Either waiting for fares to come down or using FF miles. Haven't decided yet.

:rotfl2: Good one!

I haven't even THOUGHT about pre or post plans yet. Actually, I know my kids want to spend a couple of days in London, but I have no plans yet. I guess I should start thinking about it!

We are flying in on Friday, so no time before, but after we will have around 2 weeks and plan on:

Having a few days in Paris
Few days in London
Legoland
the rest of the time will either be in France or England.

We have all our pre repo cruise plans laid out and air purchased. I have been doing my research on Normandy getting that in my head so as to make the most of the time up there. London will be pretty straight forward, Oh we do need to get from London to Paris... to early for train reservations.

Will Disney offer tours of London pre and post cruise or we will be on our own for those? Just wondering because after seeing Mary Poppins my daughter wants to see it again in London. :umbrella: Did not know if Disney would offer a tour of London including one of their shows in the package or if I need to go ahead and purchase our theatre tickets. I asked Disney and they just gave me the same answer that all of you received. "We are anxiously planning some exciting excursions for you..........."

Is Mary Poppins showing in London? I can't find it....:confused3 If so and depending when you are going to be there maybe we can go together.

I thought someone mentioned one of the shows, but I can't remember who and what show.:confused3

I thought it was still there. :confused3 Let me investigate and I will get back to you. I cannot imagine that Lion King is still showing there and Mary Poppins is not. We saw it last week with the original Bert from London and the original Mary Poppins from Broadway. It was FABULOUS!!!!!

Good Evening Cruisers!

It will be interesting to see what the excursions are! We do not have any plans for our few days in London, we have planned out our time in France - Normandy, kind of.

Have a great day all!

Ok....that investigation took all of two seconds to see that Mary Poppins closed in London almost TWO YEARS AGO!!!!! :sad1:Lesson learned....just because a show was a huge hit in London and is now on Broadway and touring the US does NOT mean it is still showing in its original city. :sad2: I saw my first musical in London, Les Miserables, when I was a teenager and it began my love with theatre. I really want to take my daughter to a show while there. I guess I will look back into getting tickets for Lion King. I need to see where the theatre is in relation to our hotel. We are staying at the Park Plaza County Hall.

I didn't like the Lion King when we saw in in NY so I probably will skip it.

I have seen The Lion King too. It is not my favorite either. Oh well, maybe something else will come up. :confused3

Right now I am working on getting an application for tickets to Wimbledon after the cruise. I have to send them an International Reply Coupon. Of the 2 post offices that I visited, one had no idea what I was talking about and the other had some but they were old and no longer valid. I have an e-mail into the usps site so hopefully they can give me an answer and tell me where I can find this coupon. I need to get my request in by Dec. 15.

Good Morning Cruisers!

Scott is working on finding transportation from London to Paris for our pre-cruise trip. He keeps vacillating between train and plane.

Need to start hitting the travel books! Get some plans down for the cruise, not just the pre-cruise excrusion we are doing.

Have a great day all!

Plane won, price was a little better and location for rental car was what tipped the scale, price would haev been better if we wanted to fly later in the day or real early, I did not want to be at Heathrow by 0430.

Good Morning Cruisers!

Have a great day all!
