Hello Everyone from Warnemünde, Germany!!
I am an American who lives here... and I have to say, I was never more excited by cruise news as I was when I heard that Disney was coming here next year!
We did our first Disney cruise this year (although it was my 69th overall) and it was one of my favorite EVER!
Now, each day as I watch the ships sailing out of the Warnow into the Baltic and blowing the horn, I smile and think how AWESOME it will be next year to hear "When You Wish Upon a Star" as the Magic sails through the Moles.
Warnemünde may be the port stop for Berlin, but there is a LOT to see and do in this area of Germany!

I think most of us are hoping for lower prices but......

I don't know how this compares really but at the back of my mind is that for that price we could buy a nearly new family car so we have room for our new arrival in december, or get all the work done on the house and garden that needs doing, or even put the money towards moving to a new house!!! Everyone thinks we're mad for considering spending this much on a holiday
I do hope its gonna be worth it?! I get the feeling at the moment that we're just gonna be paying for a small fancy room and nice food on tap for a fortnight, I can't really get my head around the destinations or how easy it will be to do tours etc with a toddler and baby in tow ....??? I know it will be relaxing to stay on the cruise ship for a few weeks but I can't justify the cost for that alone!

Sounds like he's working the situation!I forgot to give you all an update: Ozzy went back to Chattanooga on Thursday for his first echo since his diagnosis and we got a good report!!!! When he was diagnosed his ventricle was only contracting at about 8%, normal is in the 40% range. He's now up to 22%, which they said for his condition is excellent. They said his medicine is working great and we shouldn't change a thing. He'll need another EKG in a month, but they said we might be able to put off the next echo instead of having it in six months.
Ozzy has gotten really spoiled since his diagnosis though, he was spoiled before, but he's really spoiled now. Today he got his own pet. He's got a hamster now. He just stares at it, it's hilarious. You know your pet is spoiled when they have their own pet.

It is going to be expensive! Make sure and have one of those things that carries the baby is on your back and you should be good to go!

You shouldn't let other people's opinions sway your decision, just because they think your crazy doesn't mean it's not the right decision for you. The memories you'll have from the trip will be priceless, that's the way we look at our vacations. A lot of people we know think we're crazy for cruising every year, going to WDW at least once a year, etc, but it's the memories that count, not the money.

Oh, he's definitely working the situation very well.
....and we're still not sure we can really afford it (thanks to the tumbling economy) that's one of the reasons we will probably put off getting our flights for awhile. I just don't want to find we have to cancel and then be stuck with some very expensive flights we can't use. In the meantime, we're still buying our Powerball tickets every week! The cruise prices have continued to climb since we made our reservations. I doubt that they will come down any.

I'm just thinking though......even if the price went down, it wouldn't really affect us anyway, right? It would just be for new bookings. I can certainly see that happening, but we would have to cancel, rebook and probably lose some other incentives in the process.
Just Curious how much is a $hitload....
