Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

Someone on this thread ask me about my SPH room. I erased the message and with my "senior" mind, I can't remember who. Will whoever it was please contact me?

Good Morning Cruisers!

Nice day here, will get hot later, at least here it cools off at night!

Gydell - we are in a SPH room also - it will be our first time in one. (But I am not the person who asked you about them.)

Have a great day all!

You will love the SPH room. We had 1 on the TA. The person that ask me is not someone that already has one.

I have a secret porthole for the 12/19 cruise. I have never had one either.

We really liked our SPH on the TA. We had the connecting room though and the immediate neighbors were LOUD. The child would scream and cry, which is fine... but I swear that kid sat in front of the connecting door!! Now the neighbor 2 doors down was great :thumbsup2:rotfl:

This trip I really gotta watch out for my neighbors!! :rotfl::thumbsup2

Took a good look at a calendar this week and determined that we will spend 2 whole days plus the travel day prior to the cruise in London and since the flights home are early, we would never make it from the port, so we will spend one more day in London before heading home. Looking at a Sheraton at the airport because we have alot of points and that is the best bet for the points.

Next is airfare!

Debbie

Tammy did you do a B2B or are you doing that with Med/Baltics next year?
I lost track!
I booked the 12/19 Eastern. I moved the NYE cruise to the Med/baltics for next year. I just can't seem to cruise enough. LOL.

Hey Now :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Finally home, got back yesterday and went into the office to get some admin stuff done. I had messed up some travel for next month so get that together. Got home pups were happy to see me and had a hot dog for dinner. Watched the tour DVR, nice to skip commercials .

Up early to watch the tour, not sure what the day will bring.
Will also start the sirfare search

Hi Gydell,

It was me who asked you about the SPH, right before we changed our minds about sailing with Disney. Although I jumped ship I have still been lurking with the hope that Disney would discount this cruise even a little. But I have been on the boards and I don't think they are going to throw the Cat 12's out there like they did for the 2007 med cruises. Seems like everything is for new bookings only or you have to get a special code. :confused3

We just got back from Freedom of the Seas to the Eastern Caribbean where we had a great cruise in two connecting Promenade cabins. And yesterday I booked two connecting ocean views on NCL's Sun for the exact same Baltic Cruise. So we get to cruise for 19 days and will have had four rooms (where our teenagers get their own beds) for the price of one 12 day Cat 10 cruise with Disney. :scared1:

I don't know. As much as I love sailing on the Magic the numbers just don't add up. Plus we get more time in the ports and we don't have to deal with formal clothing. So, while I thank you for remembering that someone even asked you about the SPH I have to decline. However I will continue to lurk as you all seem to be full of great info.

Have a great cruise! :goodvibes

So the strategy is to use the debit card to get cash from the ATM and then use the cash to make purchases? Did you have to pay a foreign transaction fee for every withdrawal?

Yes, you have to pay transaction fees, but we have always tried to use credit cards when we are able, and we always have cash from the ATM too. I don't like to taravelwith too much cash on my person.

Morning Kids, It is our 29th Anniversary today. Lynn got the pups out form a walk and I got a long 5K run in. Clean up a bit meet some folks for breakfast and then out for a kayak.

Happy Anniversary! Why is it too early to look at air? British Airways has their flights out to the end of June. Anyone here experienced with British Airways? I have heard that Air France people are rude! LOL>

Jason & I flew BA in '07 for the TA and loved it. We flew in Premium Economy, which is a step between coach and first. A separate cabin with nice big seats. We experienced excellent service, much better than with any of the domestic airlines. I definitely recommend them.

Thank Guys,

Had a nice breakfast and a nice paddle, 2.25 miles, in about an hour, we spent time just relaxing and cleaning up trash in the lake.

Time to watch the Tour , it is getting hot here.

Yes Lynn will get Saint hood for putting up with me. She is the Bestest.
