Northern Sights and Mickey's MAGICal Delights-1st Baltic Cruise-June 12,2010-Pt 2

DH and I stayed up late last night and just about have the FE gifts completed. YEA, now I have to make our FE to put at our door. That is this weekend's project. I think I have it under control. :idea:I am challenging myself since I no longer have a sewing maching!:scared1:
I just got word that I have an invitation for DH and I to visit Lloyds of London. I am a risk manager so this is a real treat for me. :woohoo: You have to have an escort and invitation to get in the door!
The ship sails in 8 days and we leave in 5 days on Tuesday. Hope I don't drive everyone crazy.

Have a great day cruisers this time next week just about all of us will be somewhere in England. :thumbsup2 Sue

Sue, you and I can drive each other crazy as we leave on Tuesday as well!
My SIL is making my FE for me and I think she's a great person, however, she is a procrastinator BIG time. Asked when the latest I needed it and I told her Saturaday. It will be made tomorrow morning I'm sure.
We bought a new camera yesterday and will start packing today, hopefully:yay:

So you are not giving credit to Mark Twain a statement can be no more correct. Being a 3rd generation native SF, I did not know it got about 75 in the summer until I moved to Southern VA. But at least my years in SF have me prepared for packing for this trip. The key is layers!:rotfl2:

I have about 200 more driving records to order before the end of business on Monday and I keep procrastinating! Sue

Just saw this on the other thread and hope Disney does better!

Our first day in St. Petersburg didn’t start off well. Six of us had pre-arranged a private tour with a company named DenRus. We had been told by DenRus that the ship would try to make us disembark after the ship’s tours and to just ignore the ship’s directives and get off anyway. We tried. The ship literally had staff members blocking our attempts to get to the gangway and would not let us proceed. It was ridiculous. So by the time we were able to even get off of the ship, it was already 9:00 a.m.; we had planned on starting our tour at 8:30 a.m. Once we got off, another nightmare - there was another cruise line docked right behind of us and all of their passengers were disembarking and going through the same customs point as we were. We stood in line and it was over two hours from the time we got off of the ship until the time we met our guide. Russian passport control was certainly a serious process. Nothing light hearted about how they scrutinized our passports and they never cracked a small.

Safe travels to everyone coming over this week - the weather at the moment is gorgeous so we'll try and keep it that way for you.

Gydell~ safe journey and looking forward to meeting you!

I am so looking forward to the weather, AZ is already up to triple digits!

Gydell - DS has been slack in writing back to your dgs. Are you guys doing the kids meet at 3pm on embarkation day?

Can't believe some of you are on the way already...I haven't even started packing yet :scared1:

Safe travels to the early leavers, see you at the dock in 1 week

I'm with you on that one!!! :rotfl:

But sometimes that works out better for me. Seems like when I pack early, I keep finding things I want to "add" & duplicate items because I don't remember everything I packed!!!!!

But I also hope everyone has safe travels. I haven't gotten to chat much on this thread, but look forward to meeting everyone. I need to find the Dis meet info. We don't leave until Thurs, so lots of time left...I think!! :cool1:

We are going to pack Patrick's stuff on Monday. And then pack our stuff on Tuesday. That's soon enough. We've been stacking stuff on a table ready for the suitcases.
