Northern Europe Magic 6/13/2015

So I'm starting to think about ship activities and dining rotations. Have received some conflicting information. Anyone have any info to share regarding pirates night (if there wil be one) or dining rotations? :)

Hi everyone! We're late to join this meet even though we booked on opening day. This will be the second leg of our b2b. We just secured air tickets and are in the midst of researching port excursions now. It will be me, DH and DD7 on this cruise! Hope to join in the conversations :-)

I checked with shoreside concierge and this is the response fyi:

Here is the pending schedule for your sailing in June. Please check back closer to sailing to get this confirmed. As of right now, we do not have a Pirate night scheduled with the fireworks because of the regulations with that area.

Saturday Copenhagen Casual Rotation
Sunday Sea Formal Rotation
Monday Tallinn Casual Rotation
Tuesday St. Petersburg Casual Prince & Princess
Wednesday Helsinki Casual Master Chef
Thursday Stockholm Semi Formal New
Friday Sea Casual Till We Meet Again
Saturday Copenhagen

Hope that helps.

That is a great help! Thank you so very much!
So do you think it is safe to assume that the restaurant dining rotations are (substitute Lumieres, Cariocas, Animators) ABCABCA?

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one seems to have come forward recently to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to organize the FE right in this thread. There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Many Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS.

Enjoy!

My family, Hubby, myself and 8 year old Daughter, are very interested in participating with an FE group this cruise. It is our 6th and we have yet to participate. I would be happy to help with the organizing if you need help.

Wow, I'm surprised that they would completely cancel Pirate Night. Even in Alaska when they couldn't set off fireworks, they had a party.
I wonder if it's because of the Frozen-themed activities? (to be honest, although I love the fireworks and the party, I don't like the menu, and have always wished I could make it our Palo night!)

Hello everyone!
I'm delighted to say that I will be joining you on this cruise
This will be the 2nd part of a B2B
My husband and I are sailing on the Norway Fjords cruise on 6/6 and whilst he sadly has to go back to work on the 13th, I'm going to stay on the ship :yay:
I've never done a B2B before and am interested to know what the procedure is with luggage etc (I will be changing room)
Look forward to chatting with you all and counting down the days!

It's our first B2B too. Not sure if we should visit Copenhagen some more on 6/13 or go straight back on the Magic.

I spoke to DCL today (preparing to book Palo and activities this week) and while they still couldn't tell me any of the timing of the Frozen activities, they shared the following dining information. I believe some of this confirms what we already knew but just in case.....
Rotation #1 LACLACL First visit to Animators is drawing, second is color changing.
Rotation #2 ACLACLA First visit to Animators is drawing, THIRD is color changing.
Rotation #3 CLACLAC First visit to Animators is drawing, second is color changing.
They couldn't confirm menus yet but I know that it was previously posted that concierge was able to share that info. Happy planning!

New to this whole discussion forum... but sounds like I'm in good company to get assistance! Yeap, going to Europe with ya'll this June. Booked it just last month while on a last minute cruise to celebrate an Anniversary. Appears there is a FB page and I have to make 10 post to get connected? So I'll ask 10 questions, and like those who came before, I'll say sorry up front and at the end.

Here we go... post #2, Appears there is some discussion about not having fireworks and pirate party. Thats a bummer on the fireworks, but since this is a very different part of the world, I expect we should expect some things might have to be done differently. Any new news on this?

Question #3. Stupid questions...I don't understand all the abbrevations, what's dd,dh,dw,ds? and this fish thingy? LOL, that's the one abbrevation I do get!

#5 Would love to hear tips on how everyone follows when/what to book next. Since this was not planned far in advance, I'm sure I'm paying more that many, but we did book it onboard, so at least I got the best available at the time. Is the trick to plan early, and often?

#8 Read a good tip for extra storage today... use a hanging shoe bag. Shouldn't take too much space in luggage and we like to pack light!
