Northern Europe Magic 6/13/2015

This will be the second half of our B2B. Can't wait. We have everything booked. All excursions through Disney, airfare consists of Atlanta to JFK, JFK to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Copenhagen, with 1 hour and 45 minutes layover each time. I think our total airtime is a bit over 11 hours. We are staying at the Airport Hilton for the night we finish up the cruise. Then head home. On this cruise will be me and my DH.

I was looking at a private tour for St. Petersburg and noticed that they say Catherine's Palace is closed on Tuesdays (which is the day we will be there), yes DCL lists an excursion that visits Catherine's Palace specifically. Does DCL have special access?
Yes- apparently Disney has arranged special access for cruisers. It is not known, however, if other cruise ships will have passengers there during the day as well.

Just paid our deposit!! DD (who will be 12) is super excited and I can't wait!
We are from Wisconsin and will be on this cruise with our 12 year old daughter as well. Would be nice if she could meet some kids to spend time with.

We are from Wisconsin too! Where are you flying in/out of? We’re doing Minneapolis to JFK to Copenhagen.

We are flying out of Chicago. We are going a week early and spending a week in Copenhagen with a host family prior to the cruise. It sounds like our daughters are around the same age and will be by themselves. Perhaps we can connect them and they'll have someone their age to spend time with. Both being from Wisconsin (we're in Milwaukee btw) will be a bonus.

After further review I see your daughter is a bit older than ours. Our daughter is 12 (technically 12 1/2 by Cruise time). I joined this board specifically to find other families that might have an only-child around our daughters age in an attempt to find someone she might be able to make friends and spend time with. Mom and dad get boring you know :)

We are also very excited about the trip. As soon as I have 10 messages I will join the FB group. That was great for our last trip.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what they are wanting to see/do before/after the cruise? We are planning to add a week in Europe to get the kids used to the time zone. Our boys will be 9, 12, and 15.

Susan
What is the FB page? I've looked and can't find it. Also, what's the requirement of 10 messages all about? This is all new to me.

The more I read through the previous posts on this board, the more I figure out. Seems I need to have 10 posts before I can PM anyone. Interesting....

My family, Hubby, myself and 8 year old Daughter, are very interested in participating with an FE group this cruise. It is our 6th and we have yet to participate. I would be happy to help with the organizing if you need help.
Did you ever get anywhere with the FE for this cruise? My DW and DD and I would like to participate but I can't seem to find any details.

Yes, my daughter is 15 now. She's also an only child but I always send her to the club on the first day when they do icebreakers and meet and greets and such. Then she's more likely to meet others who are by themselves. She's still a little nervous about it but I think she'll be ok. Either that or stuck with my sister and me the entire time! Is there any way to get our email addresses to each other on here? Because if there is, then I could help you out with some of your questions. Or is it outlawed? my name is tracerr and i like the mail that starts with a g. LOL! Does that make sense?

Hi Everyone,
My family is booked on this cruise as well. This will be our fifth Disney cruise (Wonder - West Coast of Mexico), Fantasy (E-Carib), Fantasy (W-Carib) and Wonder (Alaska 2014)
We are from Los Angeles and my wife and I have 3 kids. 10 year old boy, and 5 year old twins (girl and boy)
Its getting close now!

Does this (quoted below) mean that there is definitively no pirate night on this cruise? Disappointing! Will the Frozen shindig have fireworks? That's one of the things I love about the pirate party!
