North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Good Morning Cruisers!

Snow is nearly gone, just a few patches to show that it ever existed. If I went into town, I am sure I would still see piles in parking lots. It is supposed to be a really nice weekend.

Bob - got a package from you yesterday - Thanks.

Have a great day all!

Wow! Sounds awfully techie!:lmao:

Well, the iPhone makes it so easy that even someone as technologically impaired as myself can do it!!! :rotfl2:

8 days till we leave for WDW and a cruise to Easter Caribbean. Problem is, all of our cruise and travel stuff is still in boxes, and I can't find them!

Finally settling into the new house, but rain yesterday showed that our garage floods. 12 boxes got soaked, and we lost about a dozen books to water damage. Ended up putting all of the undamaged boxes on top of plastic totes to keep them out of the water. We're going to have to rip out all of the concrete in our garage, and the long driveway, and have it completely repoured to solve the problem.

Bummer.......when my accounting closet good flooded when the roof leaked, I had over 50 banker's boxes totally wet. Talk about a mess. I am now scanning documents and have bought plastic storage bins for the older stuff that I can't get rid of yet.

Is this trip the one where you are doing MouseAdventure at WDW? Wish I didn't have an audit, would have loved to come do it.

Most of the boxes are books. A bunch were programming manuals more than 10 years old, so I just threw all of them in the recycle bin. The rest will move into the house once I have the shelves in the library set up and usable.

This trip is not the MouseAdventure game, though we will be doing some testing and such to finalize the game. We're going back out 10 days after we get home from this trip for the game. Adrienne is lucky - she gets to sail on the Magic and Wonder only 2 weeks apart!

aphoenix - that sounds like a headache dealing with the flooding and the bad pavement.

What is MouseAdventure?:confused::confused:

Good Morning Cruisers!

Tony - sorry to hear about your flooding problem, it is a mess, I know when our basement flooded, at least I caught it as it was happening, so not too much got damaged, and I bailed out the window wells to keep more water out, but some of our books got wet too. We did some landscaping repairs to keep the water from flowing into our window wells again. Digging up cement in garage and driveway does not sound like fun! Have a good time on your cruise!

Have a great day all!

Hi All!!!

We are up to 129 on the Roster! 39 B2Bers, 11 Repo and 10 Alaska, with 18 for a Disneyland trip prior to the Repo!

Mouse Adventure??? I've never done it. I think it's a scavenger hunt in the Magic Kingdom? ANyone?

HebeJebe! Your Dogsled run sounds fun! Do you have a link you could share?

Tony! UGH! How AWFUL! Water is fun to swim in, but when it's in your house, it's the worst thing! Good Luck! Do ENJOY your trip!

I will have to upload the photos from dog sledding and then I'll put the link here. It was a lot of fun.

I have added a link to your thread on the main index page. Have a great cruise!

Thanks Irish

Bob And Scott we are doing construction lay out with GPS! not for building corners, but for stuff like pipe lines it is close enough! with in an inch.

Good Morning All. Just trying to wake up.:surfweb:
Long football day yesterday.:goodvibes

Welcome to wendybirdn, Minybear and MAGICFOR2 :wave2:

We're :cheer2: for you Peter. I think you'll do it.

I was averaging about 2400 hours + for a few years before I decided to cutback. Wasn't sure it was worth it. But it has paid for some KEWL trips.
Our pension is based on how many weeks we work, not hours, so not any advantage working beaucoup overtime as far as the pension is concerned.

I am always amazed how the construction guys can start at two different points and actually meet it the exact same position.

I do like the remodeled drink station, looks like it really opened up the area, it was always such a bottle neck before.

The Outlook Bar area looks kewl also!
