North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Has anyone heard of any Disney pre/post excursions for Alaska? I've been looking at some excursions offered by other companies during our cruise, but was curious if anyone has heard anything about Disney offerings?

Fall is here in New Jersey!!! Leaves are falling and the colors are slowly changing.

They probably won't release anything until middle of next year at the earliest.

I've been researching on other sites also....looks like we'll be too early to do a dog sled excursion :(

Still HOT here in central FL - talking about breaking records this week :scared1:

We'll be down at WDW this Friday! Glad it's not getting cool there yet.

We wanted to sign up for a dog sled thing too! Darn! We'll all have time to research a bit before the cruise...

Thanks for sharing what you found. I was so excited about reading about the dogsled excursion, that I didn't bother to check available dates/months offered, etc! :rotfl2:

I hadn't thought much about excursions. I love the idea of dog sleds. :dog::dog2::dog::dog2:!

Unless I'm reading something wrong, these look like they would work out of Skagway on Friday, May 6... and I bet the other tour companies will add earlier dates to catch the Disney cruisers too. Maybe we can get Pluto to pull a sled pluto:

Good Morning Cruisers!

I see we are getting excited about this trip and are planning excursions already!

It looks like it will be a nice day here today before it gets cold tomorrow, I am glad we are skipping out for the weekend and will miss the snow!

Thanks Lisa! I'll go check this out. I don't remember what city I had seen the dog sledding in but it said starting after the 9th.

I think this would be really a great & unique thing to do :thumbsup2

Ok, finally getting a chance to check in. Adrienne and I are definately joining in for the Alaska portion of the cruise. The repo is a question mark - we may book it when we are on the Magic later this month. Amazing how many people here we have cruised with before!

Welcome Tony and Adrienne.
I remember you from the 11 Nights in Paradise and the Inaugural Westbound Panama cruises.

We also have plans on the 11th! :thumbsup2:hug:

Ahhhh, we wish we had those plans on the 11th too. Just didn't work out timewise for us.
We will be there in spirit.

The weather was just wonderful today. Mid 60's and :sunny:

It has been a good week. Been practicing retirement. Feels kinda good.
Just that one thing with the doc on monday(see my post on FB) and things since :thumbsup2

Tonight we are doing the doc dance :cool1::yay::banana::yay::cool1:
as we got our stuff for the Halloween Cruise.
The Food and Wine thingie before too! Should be a blast.

Have a great rest of the week.

T & A on this Cruise!!! Kewl!
:)

Cant wait to see ya both again!

Tony, Repo is a question for us also!

I hear Gordy will be on Board for Both! ;)

Spent last weekend in Vancouver BC. We went and checked out Capilano Suspension Bridge and Stanley Park, which we haven't done for a while. Here's a couple pics
me & my girls out on the bridge

Me up in the "treetops adventures" section. There's a bunch of smaller suspension bridges up high in the trees as a neat extra section to walk through.

Hi everyone,

Alaska is something I have wanted to do for ever it seems and this cruise from LA to include Alaska sounds wonderful. We have booked and have just been wondering about weather in April/May. Do love to lounge on deck and by the pool and lso have a swim and wondeer if it will be out of the question.
Also understand the Wonder will be undergoing changes and if there is any information on these apart from the addition to deck 10 which sounds great.
