North To Alaska--May 3, 2011 on the Disney Wonder

Hey, what are we calling ourselves??? The First Eskimos....

Sorry, I'm not feeling very creative at the moment. Help!

LOL... we will see. Sailing on my Birthday would be nice.

And truth be told I would not know the first thing about "organizing" the Fish Extenders. I just give something to everyone!! I think that is the job of the one that was "first to extend the fish" :) And I still can not get over how the whole phenomenon has happened!

But my "original" fish extender is so boring compared to what others are doing! Or maybe, mine is the unique one ;)

Debbie

Hi Deb....love your name!

Love Epcot too! We were just there yesterday....Crush is my favorite and Figment is John's favorite....we drank in France and ate in Italy....so awesome. :cloud9:

Hi Deb, welcome back.

Fishlips is too far. We'll need a restaurant in L.A.

Woody

hahahaha.....good catch Woody. Thanks.

Can you tell I'm still in vacation mode?

I guess we'll have to find a place near the port in LA. WOOHOO!!! This is going to be a fun trip to plan....it's completely different.

I'm so glad you and Mrs. Woody will be onboard with us. We did a Thieves reunion Cozy Cove chat on the Tortola cruise....but I didn't call you because your SR number was not on any of the lists. We'll have to fix that next cruise....you could just wisper it to me.

I LOVE that we have a variety of groups onboard that have previously sailed together....like the Thieves and the Tortolians....who else do we have? I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.;)

Ken!! Are you and Shari in for the 1st Alaska???? How about the Repo??

Let me be the first to join the Lanyard Club? :thumbsup2

I only have 5 posts??? :scared1:...well, I'm going to have to work on that.... :lmao:

Ken are you doing Lanyards??? Did I miss the post??? Are you doing them for the Repo Too?

Please add me under Leslie!!!

I have a very important question! Do I need to follow BOTH this thread AND the B2B LA to Vancover/Alaska?

We are confirmed on the B2B stateroom 6588. We are keeping the same room on both cruises.

So many names on this thread are familiar! Old home week on the Wonder in 2011!

This question was raised on the LA/Vancouver Repo Thread as well.

Let me know your thoughts... Bob started the Alaksan Cruise and I started the Repo one. So... right now there are 2. But, not everyone will be going on both. So, some will be left out of activites based upon the cruise they take...

I don't mind closing down the thread, but I just want to be sure that is the direction we should take in fairness to those not going on both cruises.

Anyone???

I would never assume the lanyard duties if someone else would like to do it. I figured there was plenty of time to work it out.

If you don't do the lanyards, I think many of us will cry! :thumbsup2

Of course you wouldn't... never thought so, but... IF you do, count us in! Thanks! :goodvibes

As time goes on and more people book, I think we will see more individual cruisers and less B2B. If I was just on the 1st Alaska, I would rather focus on just 1st Alaska activities and not have to worry about whether or not the activity was 1st Alaska or B2B.

I like Erik's thought that the repo thread will become the primary thread for B2B activities.

That's my $.02 - but with inflation, it's worth less then a penny.

Ken

I'm such a complete dork. In my mind's eye I envisioned getting off for a bit at Port Canaveral! Obviously I wasn't thinking clearly since we'll be in Vancouver and not FL. hahaha
If they don't make us get off the ship- something tells me this cruise may have an extraordinary amount of B2B'ers on it? Maybe I'm wrong.. but maybe I'm right. LOL We'll see.

So far, based on the info received from the folks on the LA/Vancouver Repo Thread we have...

21 Staterooms ~ 19 B2Bers!!!
That's a Whopping 90% :yay:
I have a feeling this will be one of the first times DCL has the majority of their cruisers staying on for the next cruise...

Hi Em, happy you're on here too. I'm sad that we didn't get to connect on the Tortola cruise. We'll have to remedy that on this one!:goodvibes

Yeah I know!!!! We were just always going to do something which surprised us. We thought that being a shorter cruise we'd being just sitting around doing nothing a lot and it was the complete opposite.

That's a lot of B2B's. I kind of wish we were doing the B2B, but with everything else we've got planned between now and then I just don't think we can do it.

Might as well get the thread started.:goodvibes
I have never been to Alaska and will looking forward to the trip.

For those interested in the Repo from LA to Vancouver, you can find them here>>>http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2282872

Hi Bob! I can e-mail you the Roster list I have so far... it's in Excel, or I can add a column and keep the master for all 3 R - Repo, A - Alaska, B2B Both.

Out of 23 stateroome on the LA/Vancouver Repo 21 are B2B... 91%!!!

So far, I'm keeping Disname, Cabin #, First Name, Hometown, State/Provnce, B2B, etc, FE (Fish Extender), SB (Scrapbook), DL (staying at DL before the Repo), RT (Room Tour, if we do one)...

Let me know Matey!!! Arrrgh!

Do you think the percentage will change next week when bookings open up to all?

Woody

Hey Woody,

I know Shannon and I are definitely going to be booking the repo to Vancouver. The second leg up to Vancouver, however is the questionable one. Not sure we can swing the $2400 USD (2 adults, 2 kids) in deposit they are asking for that one cruise along with the $1000 USD they are wanting for the repo. Lots of cash outlay to be sitting out there right now.

We are just going to wait and see where we are at come Monday morning. Then we may also see where we are at as time goes on and may just try and book later as well. Have had mixed information about booking just Shannon and I and adding the kids later. Some have told us that it will increase the cost when we add the kids later and others have said it won't, just those kids may have to pay a higher rate later.

So we will see what comes on Monday.
