We have stayed in the NGW twice and never had any complaints.
I guess the noise level all depends on what type of neighbors you have. We did not experience great, loud, rude neighbors on either trip. We had nice water views where we could watch the water parade from our window. Some people don't like the walk to the tower building but it is not like it takes forever. The only bad experience we had was 2 years ago when we went to leave for the parks, we opened our door and there was smoke in the halls from the forest and grass fires that Florida was having that year. It wasn't in our room but it was pretty scarey to see it in the halls. By the time we got back, it was gone and we didn't have any more the rest of the trip.:p

There's the link to my post about our stay in March. We(2adults/2 kids) also went with my parents and SIL/BIL. The best advice I can give you is to try and spend some time apart, if you try to spend every waking monent together you'll drive eachother nuts. And if you have ANY problems with the room etc.. please don't hesitate to go down to the front desk and politely ask for their help they were very nice and eager to do anything to make our trip better!

We were just there in Feb with extended family and it was great! It is just so convenient to MK and Epcot. Our granddaughter had a blast. Make sure you take the boat to the campgrounds and try Trails End Buffeteria. Also it is a great place to view MK fireworks (campgrounds).

We stayed in 4 rooms in the north wing last May and we never heard a peep from anywhere. It was very quiet.

Please don't fret! I think you'll love the North Garden Wing. And like someone said in their reply, if something isn't to your liking during your stay, visit the front desk. That's why they are there!

Part of the magic of Disney is that when things go wrong, a cast member is there to make it right. If nothing ever went wrong, we'd never get to see that. I love that about Disney.

I've never visited in May, but I hear it's one of the BEST times, all the way around. Great weather! Great flowers and gardens! Manageable crowds!

Take time to enjoy the little things: the boat rides across Bay Lake, strolls along the white sand beaches, the Electric Water Pageant (after the fireworks each night), the sight of Cinderella's Castle in the distance.

Here's wishing you all the magic in the World!

We had a junior suite there in 2001. Really loved the sunrise over the lake and the sound of the ducks paddling, it was so quiet before everyone got up for the day. I also loved taking the boat over to Wilderness lodge and the monorail to GF and Poly. We stayed in the tower this month with the most amazing MK view, but I did miss those sunrises! It is such a family friendly hotel too, something for everyone and the 'Food and Fun' center makes it so easy to feed kids, get a quick breakfast etc. If we get to go again we would stay there, no question!
