SW fares for Norfolk to Orlando haven't budged for quite some time. Still at 113 OW. Should I book now for Jan. or wait a bit longer to see if they drop. There's only two flights out a day so don't want to wait much longer to book. Funny thing is if we book now the person leaving from Norfolk will be paying more than the person coming in from Denver and the rest coming from Long Island and she has the shortest flight of us all.

Hi,

Waiting for airfare is like playing the stock market! Sometimes you look really smart by waiting, and sometimes, well...not so smart. Sometimes the price will go up, and sometimes it will go down.

Are you a gambler? My opinion is: if you are comfortable with the price now you should book it.

We too will be flying out of Norfolk only in August instead (it's usually July). With the way prices have been flip flopping lately (sometimes in the wrong direction), I would just go ahead and pay the price now while the seats are available. Don't know about that time of year, but I can't get anything less than about $100 OW during the summer.

I'm having enough trouble struggling with what to do about the flight from Naples to Norfolk. The rates are just as much NOW as they were at last minute mid July just this past summer. I always thought buying really early meant saving money.

Have you though about driving? :car: I'm assuming when you say Norfolk you mean the one in Va.

It's half the drive compared to what we have to do from Toronto. No need to rent a car once in Orlando. Cheaper than flights. All though if you spend all you time on site you really don't need a car.

However if you're going for just three or four days flights may be the answer or if you crew can't do the drive.

If we lived that close we would buy annual passes.
