Nor'easter... whats happening in your neighborhood...

My family lives in South Jersey and they were hosting my DNiece's Engagement Party tomorrow. Everyone is so disappointed it had to be cancelled. :sad2:

I'm at the very southern tip of New Jersey and it's been pretty steady for a couple of hours now. The wind is just starting to pick up.

Yep same here. It's pretty nice. We have nowhere to go tomorrow. Two older college sons are home and have walked to a friends house for a night of board games, probable adult beverages and doritos. College dd is catching up on homework. I'm nursing a cold and catching up on all my dvr stuff. Please don't let the power go out.

love the pic... cute baby you have there...
Thank you!

I have my candles all lined up. Our electric goes out so much I have the Electric Company on speed dial.

It has been snowing since about 12 here in Baltimore, Md. We now have about a foot- it is not letting up. :scared1:

Here in northern NJ, not even a flurry yet. The forecast said between 3-5 inches, but I am doubtful. I am worried now that the snow will be too light and my work won't be cancelled tomorrow, and I'll have to go in. :sad2: My car does not handle snow well on our windy roads, so I am really in a bind. If my work cancelled for snow, I wouldn't go in and would still get a day's pay. But now probably instead I will have to drive to work on snow-covered roads. Not good.

Just back in from taking a walk in the snowstorm. Plus do some preliminary shoveling so its not as bad tomorrow morning.

Been snowing her since about 4-4:30 I would say.
Here is the 11pm measurements from driveway and top of car. Both of which were clear of snow before it started snowing.

@5 inches so far:

We have appx 10" thus far in So Md, wind picking up, snow heavy on trees, not suppose to let up till tomorrow night. We live in the country, so are prepared as if this keeps up we'll possibly lose power. We're all cozy and watching movies. Our kids all left for NC this early morn to see thier brother who's home on leave. They've called to ck on ole' fokes and will return Sun. or Mon. depending on road condition. Everyone bundle up and stay safe!

It is almost a white out here in Severn, MD (half way between DC and Baltimore). We have about a foot of snow now and still coming down hard.

At this time last week, we were enjoying being in DisneyWorld..what a difference a week makes. It started snowing here (outside Atlantic City) at about 7:00 and has been pretty steady. I have three kids who live a little north of Baltimore, Maryland, and they're getting hammered. I think our "hammering" is still to come. I HATE SNOW!!! I NEED BEACH!!!

We live in Southern Delaware and are getting wallopped at the moment. It started snowing around 330pm and really sticking around 730-8pm...it's nasty out there.

Ah, now it's snowing. The road is already covered up and all white. Still got to set my alarm very early and check to see if work is open or closed!! But I am more hopeful we will be closed and I won't have to drive in it!

I woke up to a massive amount of snow. I haven't been out yet, but the local news says some areas have about 20" already and that looks about right! :scared1:

It's a very heavy snow, too. The bushes in front of our house are completely leaned over by the weight. We are going to be stuck at home for days because the snow is still coming with a fury and the clean up with plowing all of the roads and shoveling this heavy snow will take a lot of time. They are calling for up to 30" total. :guilty:

My facebook status sums it up:

4:50am. It's heinous outside. Snow is sticking to everything, literally. Stop signs, trees, wires, entire facades of houses are solid white. There's been some flashes of lightning and the lights have been blinking on and off for a while. Probably only a matter of time before power is out. They plowed our street about an hour ago and you can't even tell it's been done.

Central NH here - I am happy to report that for a change - the storm is going to miss us altogether!

Hopefully
you will have the day off. My husband works next to you and got called in an hour ago.

Maryland here - i think we've got to have 2 ft. already and it's still coming down - we are under a blizzard warning. Lost power for 3 hrs. last night. Lost one pine tree and maybe part of my fence. There is too much snow to get to that part of my yard to look right now :)
