NOOO!!! the rumours are true about indy :(

This is very bad news if true. First, because it means the ride is STILL not functioning like it should, and is nearing Expedition Everest territory of futility. Secondly, because Big Thunder is also going to be down starting in September and for nearly a year. Pirates and Haunted will be incredibly busy as a result :(

Where does Disney say it? Its not on the calander...

ah wait I see it under the Indy info (don't know why its not on the calander for refurbs) shame they couldnt wait until the 14th so they dont have a week with both Indy and SM closed

sorry, i dont know how to post a link but if you go to the attraction section on the disneyland website and then go to indy it says it right at the top, i dont know why they wouldnt put it on the calender....thats weird.

Good find. As much as Indy is my favorite attraction and I will miss it while it's down, I'm excited for some good, long work to be done to it. Hopefullly we'll see some new effects and improve the reliability of the ride.

Here's the link: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/indiana-jones-adventure/

From September 4, 2012 through December 7, 2012, the exciting Indiana Jones Adventure attraction will receive refurbishment attention. Come back at the end of 2012 for a thrilling journey through the legendary Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

Sorry for the people who will miss it. :(

Makes me wonder if (hope that?) the rumored BTMRR refurb will hold out until nearer to the end of Indy's refurb...I know there are normally a few refurbs in October, but with Halloweentime and all the fall breaks, it's hard to argue that month is actually "off-season" for Disneyland.

I know it's a bummer for people who will miss it, but really, Indy NEEDS a major refurb. That poor attraction is limping around like it just had hip surgery (and seriously, my 90-year-old grandmother broke her hip, had surgery, and is doing better than Indy). At this point the only way to really fix Indy is to go down for a good amount of time. And hopefully they'll be enhancing the attraction during that time. That said, DLR tends to avoid having more than one E-ticket attraction down at any given time, so I think they would work to have the others open while Indy is down.

unfortunate, we'll be at DL between 8-14 September, I'm travelling with My Brother , Sister-in-law and their two boys aged 4 & 6 from Australia and I've been monitoring the ride refurbs over the last few weeks , HM and SM will be closed through the week, thankfully they're scheduled to re-open on the 14th with their Halloween overlays so we'll get to ride them on our last day, and MUPPETS 3d goes into refurb on the 10th at DCA , but we'll get to do that on the 8th, we weren't disapointed that Casey Jr and the Canal Boats were gonna be out of commision, although the kids would have enjoyed those.

I've ridden the Indiana Jones ride on several visits, but this will be my brother's family's first trip and i know his oldest boy is a big Indy fan, hopefully we can find ways to distract him for the week until space mountain reopens.

Dang ... Down for my Sept trip. Good thing I'm going back in Dec after the 7 th!

I don't think anyone is denying the fact that Indy needs a refurb. What is frustrating is the fact that a major ride is going down for 3 months, in three weeks, and it's not even registering on the refurb calendar yet.

It's probably not a big deal for those that live in the area, but for those of us that plan our trips a year out, it's annoying.

For this reason I plan on waiting as log as I can to tell my DBF so he doesn't have a melt down and throw a hissy fit about the Indy and BTMRR refurb. >.<

I must be missing something but for someone who plans a trip a year out, what is the difference if Disney announces this 3 weeks or 6 months in advance? For most folks the only complaint I can understand is if a refurb is announced far in enough in advance that they have time to reschedule if they want or choose a different dagte in the first place. But for a trip planned a year in advance that is not an option. :confused3

Wait BTMRR is going to be closed for a year? We went to WDW last year and it was closed, now this year it will be closed at DL. I'm disappointed. This is rare that we're going to Disney 2 years in a row.

Where does it say BTMR is going down?

It's disappointing for sure but I'm still very excited about my trip in October which will be first visit since 1984. Needless to say, I had never been on Indy. I guess I'll just have to wait a couple of more years when I plan a return trip with my family.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that BMTRR will stay open until then. I think the last time I've been on it was 2001 at WDW.
