Looking for recommendations for noncharacter breakfast or lunch at the resorts; which is your favorite and why?
TIA

I like the breakfast buffet at the Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club. There's a wide variety of items, and it's usually not that crowded when I've gone.

I went a few weeks ago when the holiday surcharge made it $19.99 for adults, but last October, the regular price was $15.99 for adults. It kept me full even when I had a somewhat late lunch ADR in a park. I ended up having soup and side salad and was still perfectly satisfied.

Love Boma for their breakfast buffet (the juice is to die for--wish I could get it bottled up and sent to us).

I also love Boma best for a resort breakfast. For a resort lunch, I love GF Cafe.

The Poly - Ok I love Kona for breakfast, you can get a real cup of coffee and I love the Macademia Nut Pineapple pancakes. I also love the the sticky wings and salad they serve for lunch, but the GF cafe is also great very laid back, good food and great service

Boma, great food selection, jummy juice and good coffee. Like the eggs made to order and after breakfast its nice to walk around the resort.

another vote for Boma - specifically breakfast (haven't tried lunch there). Breakfast is great and walking around AKL really added to the experience.

Kouzzina at the Boardwalk is my favorite breakfast. I like the look of the dining room and they employ really interesting ingredients that make for some rather genius flavor combinations. The stacked Kouzzina breakfast is a great example. I don't really care for sweet potatoes or artichokes, but paired with everything else on the plate the ingredients make perfect sense. They also have some great breakfast cocktails, if you're in to that sort of thing. We tried both the sparkling white sangria and the bloody Mary on our last visit and loved both (though this tomato juice lover says the bloody Mary gets the slight edge).

The Grand Floridian Café is my favorite resort lunch. It might become my favorite breakfast too after I try it on our next trip. The dining room is just beautiful and the big windows letting in light give it such a relaxing atmosphere. It's another place where the menu is just so tempting. There were several items on the lunch menu that sounded fantastic to me, but in the end I went with the orecchiette pasta of the day and my boyfriend the Grand Floridian burger, and we each loved both. We also split one of their miniature tiramisu afterward and it was the perfect size for each of us to just have a little taste of something sweet before heading back to the Magic Kingdom.
