Non Ticket holder at MNSSHP

What is the email address everyone is writing to?

It seems like Disney doesn't want to kick people out. Do they think that they will get upset or something? Why can't they tell people coming into the park that day that the park will be closing early tonight or even hand them something saying that? And instruct all the CM's to "remind" people throughout the day about it. I know if I knew ahead of time tha park was closing early I would be okay with it, but not everyone knows everything like WE do. It seems like they should start to close different areas of the park before 6:00 to start to get everyone towards the front to watch fireworks and then leave.
This will be my first time doing MVMCP and I'm really excited about it. I hope it's not a disaster because I plan on taking my DD and mom to it some day.
Crossing every part of my body that the time Is wrong and the park will close at 6:00.

Lori

PS-I have 2:45 ADR for Tony's. Am I going to have to go back out of the park and come back it after 4:00 with my MVMCP tix?

Yes, I would like to know the e-mail addy as well...maybe if enough of us write (or call) and complain about it, something MAY be done...... :confused3

I've sent my e-mail - especially after reading the other thread where the poster bragged so well about how he and his family attended MVMCP three times last year without paying for a single ticket. Honestly for us and our young son we're not going so much for the rides but for the whole experience and having that experienced overrun by non-ticketholders is not worth the price of the ticket. I don't know if I'll get a response but even if I do and they confirm the park isn't closing until 7p we'll still go to MVMCP on Dec. 15 and if I feel that there is an unreasonable amount of non-ticket holders then I'll ask for a refund. IMHO they have sold us tickets for an experience clearly outlined on their own website and basically we have a contract for those items. If they want to breach that contract, then they should refund our money. Maybe if enough people complain after the party and get refunds then next year they'll enforce their own guidelines. Nothing speaks more than lost revenue and angry guests!

I am upset about the picture being dropped and the 7pm close. We bought tickets for Halloween night and have friends going with us. We told them how much fun the party is. Not fair if others are staying for free. Now with people bragging all over the internet about staying for EMH and the ticketed events without wrist bands it will happen even more. They have a had a free picture since the beginning of these events too. There used to be a free button with MVMCP and they dropped that last year as well! :furious:

If you have already received your MNSSHP tickets, is it a halloween themed ticket? My tickets have soaring and exped. everest (sp?) on them.

The MNSSHP tickets are not themed. They look just like a regular ticket.

You would think they would have a Disney Halloween theme? I was a little disappointed when I saw them. Wanted to keepsake them!

I do not have tickets for the party, but I was at one time considering scheduling our trip for that time period so we could go. I agree you should be upset if they do allow non ticket holders to stay on once the party starts...But as a person going to Dsiney for the second time in my whole life in Sept, I would have never known that it was a ticket only event if not for hanging out here. It is listed that way on the website, if you look hard enough, and I didnt see it until at first. I read it on here and went back to look there. But I honestly thought it was just an extra event, not one you had to pay for separately. I thought it was included with that days park admission, OR you could pay to come for the party only. I really would not have know. I wonder if I am not alone and that some of the non wristbanded people you saw were the same way. Not everyone who goes to Disney hangs out on board such as this or even checks the Disney site before going.

Just my 2 cents....

I agree with you Dance that you would have to look hard for the fineprint on the website to know that it is a separate event you have to pay for. But unless things have changed, both times we went to MNSSHP and MVMCP there were big, can't be missed, banners hanging at the entrance to MK advising everyone the park was closing at 6p for a special event. In addition, everyone who attends the party on a separate ticket receives a wristband so that when CMs close the park at 6p they can usher those people without them towards the exit or to a CM if they have a ticket but having gotten the band yet. That's why that hour is so important b/c to close the park at 7p and start the party at 7p it would be near impossible to clear the parks of non-ticketholders and you'd be relying on people to be on their honor to leave. I think that is what is most upsetting. Yes I'm sure there are people who end up at the parties that honestly don't know it is a separate event but as has been admitted on this site, there are plenty of people who do know and just choose to break the rules.

Just sent my email as well. I told them that we are frequent visitors to WDW and have purchased 19 MNSSHP tickets for our group. I also told them that if I saw people staying for the party without a wristband, I would be requesting a refund of 19 tickets.

I'm eager to hear what the response is to these emails. I'll post mine if/when I receive one.

Sadly it seems as though they are planning the same thing for the Christmas party. Only worse. They are going to have an early showing of Wishes, since it will be plenty dark enough in December for that. So not only are they not closing they are actually having an event that will encourage people to stay!

That's the one that they have admitted that the schedule is wrong for. There will not be a wishes at 7 and the park will close. I am going to assume that the schedule on the web will be updated at some point, but I am not buying a ticket until it is. (Plus I figure if the Halloween party is the fiasco this appears they will get thier act together for Christmas)

By the way, on the button I did complain last year and did receive a response. They claimed they quit producing buttons because at the end of each party the custodial staff had trash cans full of them. I suggested they bring them back with a nomimal charge to prevent the waste.

What a good idea - hope they seriously consider it. The price wouldn't have to be much, either. I'd glady pay a dollar or two to have the annual button souvenir, but I'm sure those who threw theirs out would just pass the buttons up.

Best wishes -

In the past three years (this will be the fourth) having attended MNSSHP & MVMCP each year, the tickets have always been normal ticket stock - nothing different for the holiday.

Since the tickets look like regular tickets are the CM's working the gates going to check the back of ALL the tickets coming into the park after 4:00 that day? I would think it would be a lot easier for Disney to have special themed tickets for these events. It seems that ticket holders should be given something other than a stupid wristband to ID themselves. Like maybe a special lanyard. I know it would up the cost but I know I would keep it.

Lori

If Disney wanted to put the Halloween Party tickets on special ticket stock, they'd have to assign ticket sales for this event to certain ticket counters/terminals and I don't think people would be too happy with that either!
I think something like a lanyard would be a neat idea or maybe a special button for that event.
However, the wristbands could be the better solution, because by giving out a different colored wristband for each night, it is a harder for guests to sneak back in for a second night. Unfortunately not all cast members bother to check for the wristbands!

I love that idea. :thumbsup2
