We are going to WDW in Oct on a land and sea package. We are staying at the BC but booked a room at POFQ for an extra day prior ro the land/sea package. Since we did not include this in our package we do not have this day on our UPH passes. We were thinking of just touring some of the resorts. We have an 18mo and a 5yo. I was thinking of WL, BW and POLY any ideas or suggestions?:wave2:

Don't forget about Downtown Disney and Lego Land. Sounds like a good day for a Chef Mickey's Character Meal.

If they are into Toy Story, go visit the All Star Movies Resort-the Toy Story building! We did this last trip (we were staying at POFQ), it was such fun! We're going back next trip to visit it again, and maybe visit some of the other buildings there and at the other two All Star resorts. All that "larger than life" stuff is so fun for kids to see!

I would also visit AKL, we did this last year too and we were WOWED by it...hence us staying there next year. It is just breathtaking!! And maybe you'll get to see a few animals while you're there too. :)

Have fun!:sunny:

A special meal at a resort, like 1900 park fare, or a show like the Hoop De Doo, or Luau, and mini golf? (that mini golf always looks so tempting...)

Family day at DTD, I think you would have a great time.::yes:: :wave2:

Depending on what your kids like, you could head over to FW to check out the petting zoo area, maybe do a carriage ride, and end the day with something fun like Hoop De Doo and then check out the free movie under the stars. Just a thought. Maggie

If you do go over to the Poly, try to go after dark. They light torches that line the walkways and it is really beautiful. You can sit on the beach and watch the Electric Water Pageant (9pm - bring an umbrella stroller that the baby can fall asleep in), possibly the fireworks and also watch all the nighttime activity around the Seven Seas Lagoon including the monorail loop and the GF and CR. Love it there! If you do go, Ohana is a place for a fun meal - kids push coconuts around the restaraunt with broomsticks to the tune of Tiki Birds song, 5 y.o. would love it. And of course you could take a ride on the monorail doing the loop around the MK resorts. Makes me wish I was there now! :genie:

We also like to do a lazy, take your time monorail hotel shops tour and often just monorail to Epcot and back. Celebration is a nice drive, too.

Since it's your first day at WDW (right?), I would hop on the monorail and visit the Poly, Contemporary and Grand Floridian. At the Poly you could eat at Kona Cafe or even make a PS for O'Hana's. You could even ride the monorail through MK or around Epcot. Don't forget to set aside some pool time at the resort either.

In addition to the above and weather permitting, some quality pool time might be in order! There are some very nice themed pools at Port Orleans. As well as a boat ride to downtown disney. My kids at that age loved the Disney boats and busses as much as the theme parks. Go figure.

If you do Chef Mickey's, try for a monrail ride up front with the engineer.
