Non-Members Purchasing DDP

A friend of mine is going down to stay at a DVC resort on Monday... She was given some points from member as a gift they made the reservations for her for the room. She wants to use the DDP but she was told that the DVC member had to make the DDP reservation.

Can she just pay for DDP at checkin?

That's correct. The member still owns the reservation and they would have to call and have it added to the reservation.

The friend staying will pay for it at check-in.

Member Services will not deal with anyone who is not the actual member, so the person giving her the points will need to call and add DDP to the reservation. Your friend and her party would then pay for it when they check in.

You can't add DDP to the reservation at checkin, it must already be on the reservation. The member may call up to 2 days prior to the checkin and add it to the reservation.
