Non-LA Area folks with annual passes?

We live in Ohio and always make one long trip per year, usually 7-9 days in the parks. APs work out for us if we buy APs every other year and stagger our travel dates, which gives us "two" years worth of annual trips per one AP.

For example, in December 2015 we bought two Deluxe APs for our 9-day Christmas trip. The price of the AP was actually less expensive than buying 9 days total worth of park hoppers, so APs made sense even if it ended up being the only trip. Now this September, we're going back again for an 8-day vacation before they expire. For $599/pp, we get 17 days of park time, which would cost $1240/pp in park hopper passes (we end up saving $641 pp) .

We'll let the APs stay expired until December 2017, at which point we pick up two APs and start the process over.

I live in Vancouver, Canada. So far 4 trips for 23 total days. I have 2 trips and 17 days still planned. But trying to sneak a two day trip in in October to see Halloween. ;)

Also, I've been doing a running total of the discounts I've received. It's so far ~$200 not including PhotoPass+. So, when you subtract that from the $543 I paid for my signature pass (upgraded a ticket I didn't pay for). I'm going to be down to less than $10/day for the parks. #mousemath

We live in San Diego and have had annual passes for about 4 years now. We go about every other month but not so much in the middle of the summer due to the heat.

We live in Calgary, Canada and have purchased Annual Passes for the last 4 years. We usually make 2 trips (10 days or longer) per year. This year, we got the Premier Pass because we were at DL during Christmas, WDW at spring break and will be back at DL in 2 weeks. Since we can't get tickets for more than 5 days during our visits, it makes sense for us to get APs - the discounts brings the cost down a little.

We live in Portland, OR and for the last 2 years we have had AP's and have traveled down there about 10 different times usually about 4-6 days each trip. My DD18 will be attending college near Disneyland in August and will be using her pass like crazy I'm sure.

Northern California here, about an hour north of San Francisco, in Sonoma County. I got annual passes for myself and my granddaughter in 2014 and we've been there for a total of 45 days so far - three trips in 2014 and three in 2015. The last 2015 trip bled over into 2016, and our second 2016 trip is currently 77 days away. We like to stay for about 8-9 days, but this upcoming trip will only be 6 days.

We (me, wife, and 5 yo son) live in the Sacramento area and had been going about once a year. We went in May 2015 for a full week on 5 day hoppers, before we knew we were going to go back for Halloween. When we finally decided on Halloween, we also had the opportunity to go in August, so when we went then we brought Premium APs. We have since made five trips on them:August 2015, October (arriving on the day they eliminated the Premium APs), week between Christmas and New Years, March 2016, June, and our final one planned for August 2016. I also went in for a few hours one October day when I was in town briefly for business. All told, we will have 34 park visits when the passes expire.

We probably won't be renewing however. Our son will be starting kindergarten, so we won't be able to just pick up and go except during summer and holiday periods. Plus, after 7 trips in 16 months, we're a little burnt out on DLR. we are planning a WDW trip for next March. Our next Disney trip after that may not be until SWL opens.

We live in Seattle and fly down 2 or 3 times per year. We usually visit the park 4 or 5 days each time we go.

Vancouver, BC here :flower:

When we buy our APs its becasue we plan to fly down to DL at least 3 times within the 12 months and we always stay for 5+ days so parkhoppers don't really work for us!

In 2016 we have been in January (start of APs) for 7 park days, May for 7 park days (one blocked date) and planning October for 8 park days = 22 days in disneyland for 2016!

I'm currently on my 2nd round of AP's. The first time we lived in Oceanside about 45 min south of DL. I was a stay at home mom with 2 kids that weren't in school so we went a couple times a week back then. Now I live in Maryland and have been 4 times on this AP we have been going for a week at a time since I have to fly in now.

Live in Alaska, planned 2 family trips in 1 year (dec and nov) so we decided to buy 1 sig for free parking and photo pass and basic for the rest of the family. The discounts u receive for buying food and merchandise is also worth it. Made additional 2 short trips and would like to go at Halloween time. It may be a one time only for us as it is very costly

Vancouver, Canada. We did APs this year. We go to see my dad 2x a year, and it's actually cheaper to do a layover in LAX (which we can stretch out for a couple days), than to fly nonstop. Then I try and take my son on his birthday, so 3 trips a year. When I was figuring out the math though, I spend about the same as if we did one 5 day trip and stayed at the Grand Californian. As the kids get older we'll probably phase it out, but for now it's a great time for them.

We live in UTah and we were going every other month until Summer hit and now we have been avoiding it ... too hot to be standing in line.

From Nor Cal. So far I've gone once this year and have 2 more trips planned.

I am in Nor Cal and I started doing AP's when I lived in the central valley and was only about 3 hours or a bit less away, but now I live about a 5-5.5 hour drive from DL and thus I get there less often for sure. when we were closer we used to do about 5 trips with most of them being long weekends. now I shoot for 2 trips with the possibility of 3.

My sister does AP's for the family and her kids get the most use out of them since they go with on a couple of trips with her, 1-2 with her ex, and 1 with me.

We live in the Phoenix area. I'm lucky enough to have a Premier Pass (Fl and CA) for 2015-2016 as I had work and vacation travel that took me to both parks this year (purchased the day before the price increased!) and my son and wife have the deluxe pass for DLR.

Estimated days in the parks:
Premier Pass WDW 8 (1 week and 1 day trip) DLR 15 (2 vacations a 1 day trip)
Deluxe x2 DLR 18 (3 vacations)

Our pass dates don't match as I purchased mine in October and they got theirs in March. We will have to "figure things out" for Fall break in October...:)

We live near Sacramento and do approx 3 trips a year. One is longer and the other two are extended weekends for the most part.
