I'm not sure if this is the right board to ask this on but if it's not, please direct me to the right place! I have a friend who is going to a conference in July at Swan/Dolphin. She is thinking about trying to do some park days while she is there. She and her family went to WDW waaay back in 2001 and bought 4 day, non expiring park hoppers. They each have one day left on them. What is the possibility that those days are still good? This was back before they linked tickets to people, so theoretically, could she use a different ticket each day? Her DH has had them stashed in their safe since their trip in 2001! Thanks for any help you guys!

You'll need the assistance of Disney to link those tickets (which are still valid, if there are any days left) to your MDE.
It is likely that the link can only be done in-person st WDW.
BTW, unless the guest wants to make FP+ in advance, the tickets really don't need to be linked to an MDE account.

At the very least you have to go to Guest Services and get them converted to new media. I had non-expiring tickets that WERE linked that I had converted to new media. I have no idea if the bio-metric data is still active -- I'll find out soon.

No biometric data is connected.
New bimetrics will be automatically attached when you enter the park.

Okay, I will help her set up a MDE account and call Disney. Hopefully they can help her out. Worst case scenario is she has to buy tickets when she gets there if they don't work.

Her tickets are still good, but as far as I know they will have to be changed over to new ticket media with the chip for both park admission OR adding to MDE. We changed a few old tickets last year that had a couple of days left. Need the new serial numbers from the new ticket media to attach to MDE, the old serial numbers do not work, or at least did not work back then and most likely still don't. Can just use the new ticket media when she gets it and not attach to MDE too.

Can only change them in person at Guest Services at Disney Springs or outside the parks.

She will have to go to guest services in person in order to have them changed into new tickets.
You cannot do anything via phone.
(My parents did this about a year ago).

I had a paper ticket park hopper from 1985 (day three left on a three day ticket) when there was just the MK and Epcot, took that to the customer service window and exchanged it for a card with a one day park hopper. The only downside now is not FP+ reservations in advance now, unless you'll be in the area before you plan to use the ticket.

Thank you everyone for your input! I will tell her to go to guest services when she gets there. I don't think she is worried about FP+, she is not a ride person.
