I like to have a couple of glasses of wine or wine coolers on the weekend to unwind. Sometimes I’ll have a glass of champagne or a mixed drink at a festive social gathering. I can’t remember the last time I had a beer.

Thanks for the explaination...I must have killed a few brain cells. ;)

Yes, I drink. Usually on Saturday nights Ill have maybe 2 mixed drinks(White Russians). If we go out(not often) or there is a special occasion, like next Sat is my friends wedding, I will have more. If Im somewhere where I can only get beer, like a hockey game, Ill drink that, but its not my favorite. And on vacation, those frozen drinks just hit the spot! ;)

Yikes! Rereading this I sound like a lush, but I dont really drink that much. On average its 2 drinks a week, rarely more.

ooooh I tied the score up... I voted yes I ocassionally drink.

one beer at Germany BUffet in Disney.....one beer on the Boardwalk walking back to the Dolphin....and then a plum wine last april at a Chinese restaurant.....so I guess I am a drinker....OMG....what have I done??????

Very very rarely (I could count on one hand the number of drinks I've had in the last 5 years). I had my "fun" and did tons of drinking in highschool and a tad into college. Now I hate the taste of most alcohol and have tiny issues with digesting any grain alcohol out there so I choose not to drink it. Not against it, just really don't like the taste of most of it myself.

No, I don't drink. Never have. Personal issues, don't mind when others do, just don't do it myself.

Well, I have never tasted any form of alcohol (unless you count what's in cough syrup, and I very rarely take that!). This includes never tasting wine or champagne.

Alcoholism runs rampant in my family, my Dad lost most of his family because of it. My Dad was a fall down drunk when I was a kid. He had a stroke when I was 11 and quit then. Thank God because he's 83 now and he would've never made it if he hadn't stopped...

SOOOO needless to say I was traumatized by alcohol at a very young age. I associate it with everything BAD. When I smell it on someone's breath it literally makes me sick. So, no I don't drink, I don't go where people will be primarily drinking and I will not be around people if that is their primary cause for being there.

What I can't deal with most is drunk jokes. Not funny to me at all.

It was rough when I was younger but easier now. Imagine my college days!

I do drink alcohol, but I have a few rules about it. I never drink before the sun goes down, and I never drink to get drunk.

My Italian family drinks lots of wine, and I pretty much grew up drinking wine with meals. Not everyday, but always with Sunday dinner and any other time we sit down to eat as a family.

I rarely to never drink hard liquor, unless its in a fancy drink like a Pina Colada. I like a Corona every so often, usually with pizza or crabs.

Count me in among the non-drinkers. Drank like an idiot in high school and my early 20's and stopped cold turkey after being diagnosed with MS. I don't miss it at all - soda tastes so much better than anything alcoholic - especially with food! :D

Does this mean the margarrita parties are cancelled when the mods are at DISCON??!!

Drunks run rampant in my family too so by choice (after drinking for courage once) I choose not too. I like my 12 Steps!!

I've had I drink in the past 16 yrs. and that wasn't that long ago. I've never been drunk and have hardly been tipsy.
Alcoholism runs in my family too and I've seen too much hurt from it. My parents never drank but both their dads drank. Funny, I wasn't raised being told NO alcohol like many around here are (& they usually are the ones to drink like crazy!). My dad always said, "Nothing like a cold beer on a hot day." Yet, I have never known him to ever drink anything. I have 2 sisters who also don't drink so whatever my folks philosophy was worked that we didn't turn into alcoholics. I guess the spoiled moments &fights etc. that we witnessed were enough to turn us off.

I totally agree! I need diet coke with any meal. The only thing I can eat with an alcoholic drink is nachos with beer, but Id still prefer diet coke.

I like to drink, especially red wine. I think that wine tastes better than soda with food.

My new favorite drink is Hooch's Hard Lemonade. Yummy!

Not much, Not anymore, as it gives me a headache.:o The last time I had too much was about 2 years ago, at, of all places, Pleasure Island! My Best Friend and I were having a good time at 8 traxx and needless to say, I had a HUGE hangover the next day!:( Couldn't even enjoy the parks the next day! NEVER AGAIN! Now when we go, its a 3 drink limit, and NOT all at ONCE!:o
