HI there, we have done 4 disney trips in the last 5 years and are going to do a more budget "road trip" this summer...we are coming from bc,canada and are going into idaho and washington...we are going to do silverwood theme park, maybe grand coulee dam, leavenworth and some shopping...looking for anything we could/should do or see between couer d alene and belllingham...my husband hates driving places he doesnt know, so this will be very interesting...

On the trip my kids will be 14(almost 15), 16(turns 17 day after we come home), and 19 ...i am very excited my oldest dd is coming as she starts nursing school in january...so this will be our last guaranteed family trip for quite awhile...any advice, good motels, must do's would be so appreciated...

Weird not to be planning a disney trip, especially after the amazing grad trip for daughter last may...:thumbsup2 so wanting to make this trip fun!

Years ago as a young adult, I went river rafting on the Methow River. I think it was out of Cashmere - kind of between Wenatchee and Leavenworth. I think you can rent innertubes right out of Leavenworth for more of a float. There should also be stuff to do around Lake Chelan.

We always camped, so I'm not help with hotels!

what about a banff/ Jasper / West edmonton mall trip we did that last summer and the kids though it was great well we didn't do west ed mall its right here, we came that way last summer. We stayed in Banff at the douglas resort and went to the hot springs
we are doing an OKanagan trip this summer

HI! You will have a nice time. Silverwood is great for a day. Hopefully you will be coming when it is warm. The entrance fee is good for both the water park & the amusement park. The water park is great!!

I might recommend stopping in Sandpoint, Idaho for a day. They have a GREAT beach area (with real sand), good swimming, and fun shops along the main drag. The beach is terrific, we go every year.

Come into downtown Spokane for a day at the park. Shopping, terrific restaurants, a 100-year old carosel to ride. The park is right along the river, with an Imax if that interests you guys.

In Leavenworth I definitely would raft the river. We did this last summer and my boys loved it. They have different levels of rafting, we did the family float. You go down the Wenatchee River and empty into the Columbia. Very fun, and a great chance to see many different kinds of birds. We went with Osprey rafting. Very fun.

Coeur d'Alene is goregous, especially the lake and right downtown. They also have a beach, but for some reason I prefer Sandpoints beach on Lake Pend Oreille.

Let me know if you have any ofther questions about our beautiful area!!

If you go into Seattle, you should go to Pike Place Market -AMAZING! They have some of the best artsy street vendors, wonderful restaurants, fresh fish, flowers, and tons of "must-do's" that locals tell you to do. The "throwing of the fish" inside the market is interesting to see too.

This is a small hotel in Cottonwood Idaho that is shaped like a giant dog.

I want to go there, maybe you could go and tell me all about it!

Check out the websit it is cool as heck
