Hi everyone! We had a great time on our trip. Here's where we ate:
Dinner:
Sanaa
HDDR
Ohana
Cali Grill
La Luce (offsite at Hilton Bonnet Creek)
Il Mulino (Swan)
Lunch:
Le Cellier
CHH
Backlot Express
Breakfast:
Donald's Safari
Sanaa - delish as usual. We ordered the bread service and somosas to start. Both were wonderful. We all ordered the tomato soup for dinner. Everyone loved it. It's more of a "saucy" soup if that makes sense.
HDDR - I haven't been here since 1985. We had a blast!!! The cast was fab, the show was hilarious, the food was fine. I ate the ribs and the chicken. Both were good, but nothing outstading. everyone's favorite was the corn bread. Salad was decent - reminded us of the Olive Garden salad.
Ohana - bread, noodle, dumplings, broccoli, shrimp and chicken were excellent. The steak and pork were a little dry. Dessert got a thumbs up too.
Cali Grill - I had a Asian shrimp salad that was to die for! DH ordered the salad with peaches (he liked his too). We both ordered the pork tenderloin for dinner. It came out lukewarm. We told our server and they cooked us a new order - slightly warmer but not much. Maybe it's supposed to be that way? It was yummy, but not as hot as I would have liked it.
La Luce at the Hilton Bonnet Creek - worth the trip if you can make it! This was the best meal we had all week. Excellent pastas!
Il Mulino - Another excellent meal! Was our fav. until we went to La Luce. Great Italian food.
The lunches were all average (we ate lunch at our hotel a lot). I like that Le Cellier let us split the Chef's lunch between two people. That way we got to try several things without breaking the bank.
Donald's breakfast was fun. The food was plentiful and yummy. No disappointments here.
HTH any planners out there.
