Non-critical question about picture taking on course

So.... If I run with a camera, but not a partner, are there CM's able to take your picture with a character or at a mile marker?

I'm talking DL, specifically.

There are CM's available to take pictures (with your camera) with the characters. There are no CM's at the mile markers, but you can usually offer to take a picture for another runner who has stopped, and ask them to take your picture. Lots of people stop for the mile markers at Disney race, so it's pretty easy to find someone who is willing to take an extra 10 seconds to snap a picture for you.

I actually bought one of the waterproof Kodak sport cameras (not a disposable one) just to use in races. It is fixed focus, but I don't worry about it getting sweaty or if it's going to rain. I used it to take photos during the DL1/2 this past September and they turned out fine. I took photos of all the mile-markers, but I didn't bother to be in them myself...just took it and kept moving.

Here are some of the photos I took with the Kodak waterproof camera...and keep in mind I was usually still moving while taking these...trying to hold the camera steady!

And yes, I was waaaaaaaay toward the end and walking!

These are great pictures! I was just thinking about whether or not I should put my camera in its waterproof case for when I do the half. I think the only mile marker that I will take a picture of me with the mile marker is mile 13, if I make it there.

I ran with a camera in my hand. I don't use a cover on it. And my pictures turned out great.

Just make sure you stop to take the pictures.
The ones I try and take while running don't turn out.

I just run up to the cast member, hand them my camera, hop into the picture, Smile, thank the characters and grab my camera and then I'm off!

Be sure and thank the volunteers as well!

It's going to be a fun time!
