Non-AP Ticket Holders and New Park Reservations System-INFO POST #76

I am wondering also how they are handling a reservation, with a party where 50% have AP's and 50% have no ticket (all in same villa....)

Never mind - I misread the post.

I'm going in October and I just got the email that I can make my reservations this coming Monday. I'm wondering if that's a blanket email for everyone or if it's restricted to when people are travelling? So I'm October. Anyone with a farther out trip get the email? Just hoping the system won't crash too terribly badly on Monday when I'm trying to get this settled.

It's a blanket email for everyone with existing hotel reservations and tickets that they can park reservations starting Monday 6/22 regardless of travel dates

Me too, DH & I have aph but adult DS currently has none ugh
It should be no different - it says "Beginning June 22, 2020, Disney Resort and other select hotel Guests with valid theme park admission can make reservations. ". APs are valid theme park admission so if your whole party has a hotel reservation then you should be able to book them at the same time.
I don’t see how having some people on reservation w APs would allow the rest on the reservation to book res to park.

Well, unless the Res will actually run off the reservation number, not the tickets in MDE?

So sorry, I misread the post. Trying to read to fast at work. I will correct my post.

I received this email about Monday too and I don't have any tickets yet just a DVC reservation so I don't know why I even got it? So I got a reservation and the email but I can't purchase any tickets. 😣

Do we know what adjustments will be allowed for those of us that have park hopper tickets? Can we get a refund on the difference between hopper and non-hopper? Or can we convert the value of the hopper portion to an extra park day?

Modifications, Cancellations and Refunds

We understand how much excitement, thought and time goes into planning your visits to Walt Disney World Resort and realize some of these changes may be disappointing. Please know we will be here to help you, as our Cast remains focused on delivering magical experiences and incredible storytelling for everyone who visits.
During this unprecedented period, some of our policies and offerings have been modified:
Tickets
Partially used multi-day theme park tickets with a usage window impacted by park closure, or date-specific theme park tickets purchased through June 6, 2020 with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020 or later, will automatically be extended to use any date through September 26, 2021. If you are unable to visit by September 26, 2021, you may apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date.
Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets may be used through September 30, 2020.
At this time, Guests will only be able to visit one park per day. If you have a ticket that includes the Park Hopper Option or Park Hopper Plus Option, we have several options available to you:
  • Ticket Extension: You may use your current date-based ticket by September 26, 2021 with the existing add-on options, should the options return by that date.
  • Ticket Modification: Resort Packages with tickets may be modified or cancelled. To discuss your options, please call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY or (407) 934-7639 beginning June 22, or contact your travel professional.
  • Ticket Cancellation: If you do not want to use your ticket, you also have the option of cancelling your ticket or package. To discuss your options, please call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 566-4985 beginning June 22, or contact your travel professional.

We have an early Nov. Ro at AKL Jambo booked in early Feb. Military salute tickets Linked since Feb. ....no email from Disney so far.

We have a DVC reservation for Sept., as well as park tickets but did not receive any email. Monday should be interesting!

So, I got the email. I have the closure-affected tickets that are now extended through 9/2021. I also have a room-only resort reservation for November

But, I'm a little conflicted about reserving for November because I'm still not sure what restrictions will be in place. I may end up cancelling to go at a later time with a fuller experience.

Also, have we determined if the closure-affected tickets are good for ANY dates from now through next September (as is the current language), or are they still governed by typical use windows, but we may choose any start date?

Because If I can split my 7-day tickets, I might want to reserve some days for this November, as planned, but hold a few days in reserve in hopes I'll be able to get back and be able to let my kid see a parade, meet a princess, or view fireworks.

Me too. I'm on hold waiting for Member Services. I'll report back when I'm done with them.
I'm in the same boat so I'm interested to see what they say....

Looking for advice since my head is spinning and eyes are crossing. We have a trip this July 7-12 at ASsports (package deal free dining, booked 6 months ago). Haven’t heard a peep from Disney except dining cancellations and today’s email. Called yesterday and CM told me I couldn’t reschedule or modify yet... even though my trip is about 2 weeks away and she said Sports most likely won’t be open. (Still no word on values/mods being open which I’m assuming means they’ll be closed for awhile). Ideally I’d like to reschedule either February or July 2021... possibly November 2020. Would there be any benefits to rescheduling November 2020 vs February 2021? Would like to keep the ‘low’ pricing that I have. Thanks!

weather is better in February
Decorations are up in November
Virus could be better or worse so thats a toss up, but maybe more info on the virus in February

Our trip is December 21-26, and I received the email about park reservations starting Monday. That's fine, and I'll definitely be making my reservations that day to ensure we get what we want on Christmas Eve and Day.

We have 5-day Park Hoppers from Undercover Tourist. I guess I need to contact them to see what will be done about a refund?
