Noise or quiet when you sleep?

At least you play well with others

And I like background noise
Crickets, the river out back of my house, KIlds still exploding

I dont bother the people in the van down by the river although they can be noisy, they need to grease those springs

I *have* to have white noise to fall asleep. Either a fan or I have a clock that plays the "wind" blowing noise :p

The light went out the other night and I woke out of a dead sleep...

It's got to be a little noisy. My mom's house is pretty close to the road, so I'm used to traffic going by all the time. And we have those stupid chirping birds at 3 in the morning, cuz we live in hicksville. So I'm used to noise. I actually sleep better with fans or AC running. And I have slept through thunderstorms that were litterally in our backyard. I'm kind of a heavy sleeper.

I like it as dark as it can get and as quiet as it can get. But if I'm staying anywhere where there is noise, I will definitely have to have a fan on to drown out the noise. No tv, no music, shhhhh! :teeth:

I prefer total quiet, but very rarely get that. I'd be in the very smallest amount of noise possible category.

I don't need anything to fall asleep. I can sleep almost anywhere with almost anything going on.

At home, it makes no difference. When I am sleepy, I go to sleep. Being hard of hearing helps, too. Not much disturbs me. If I am not at home, I usually sleep very little the first couple of nights, then crash after that, and then repeat the process. Again, noise or quiet, it makes no difference.

Gotta be QUIET! I can handle "white" noise -- like a fan or noise machine.

I have a clock that plays nature sounds. Sometimes it goes haywire and chirps in the middle of the night. (ugh)

I had a nice fan that I leant to the janitor, and he kept it and never returned it. (another ugh)!

Quiet!! I can take the fan or the A/C, but if the TV is on or there is other noise in the house I cannot fall asleep.

I have a sound machine, I set it on the white noise setting, can't sleep without it.

I don't sleep well at night and any noise just makes it worse. So I sleep with a fan on to drown out all OTHER noise. If DH is in the next room watching TV is keeps me awake.
If we stay in a motel I have to sleep with the AC on or the fan.

I have to have absolute quiet! I wear ear plugs to bed!

I need the TV or my police scanner on to sleep. Yes, police scanner, I'm a weirdo.

Actually started when we lived in the city, we were near the high crime area, and I listened to the scanner to keep up with where the bad guys were. Then we moved to the safety of the suburbs and I just can't break the habit. I sleep with the scanner on all night.

::yes::
Can't handle chirping birds either

To fall asleep, I need silence, and complete darkness. Once I'm in a deep sleep however, someone could literally scream right in my ear, and I wouldn't even flinch :confused3
