Noise at BWV?

The BWV seem to be right over the Boardwalk area. When we've visited there in the past, this seems like a very noisy area in the evenings. Are there any outside noise issues in the villas? Thanks!

Most of the BWV rooms are actually not on the Boardwalk. Most are along the pools and canal area in the back and the standard rooms are along the front entrance. But most people think of the Boardwalk rooms when they think of the BWV. Sometimes at night, you can hear things when Jellyrolls gets out but it is fairly quiet in my opinion if you have a Boardwalk view room.

On the back side of the resort, it is as quiet of an area that you will find at any Disney Hotel. The rooms near the "quiet" pool are just that. At the Luna Park pool it can get noisy during the day as it does near any pool.

We stayed in room 2006 which is on the Boardwalk and it was AWFUL - the drunks outside the restaurants kept me awake until all hours (not Disney's fault ther security would politely move them away but as soon as one set left another one came)

We ended up asking to be moved and ended up in 5006 which was higher up and a bit less noisy. I would NEVER EVER do BW view again - my parents had pool view and they had no noise issues.

We had a courtyard view and had no issues with noise other than a few LOUD talkers & SLOW walkers pass by one evening. I enjoyed listening to the music float in through the double doors before heading off to sleep every evening which more than made up for those folks. :goodvibes

With the patio doors open you will hear noise from BW view rooms. With the doors closed it has never been a problem for us. We always choose BW view rooms when available.

This also describes our experience and preferences. Whenever we stay at BWV, we always book a Boardwalk view villa, and noise has never been a problem. The view from these villas is one of the best in the entire time share world.

I just came back from BWV and had a courtyard view 2065 above Wyland Galleries. On this trip as people came out of JR they tended to hang out at the bottom of the stairs by the main lobby. There weren't any security guards around. I thought it was kinda funny to say "hi" to them (mainly because I closed JR every night). The last group left at 4am one night.

So my thoughts, it got noisy where I was. I'd love to have that room again for an "adult" getaway. I wouldn't like it if my dd was there!

Same here! Do they spray those doors with pixie dust to make them so sound proof? :confused3

My favorite room area also!! I have gotten the exact same studio twice now..right above Muscles and Bustles, top level. I love it there. It's perfect..close to the elevator, great view, quiet. I also saw some of those JR folk. But, they were never a problem! Have a two-bedroom BW view booked for Oct...can't wait!!

On my last stay at BWV BWview, I was right across from the basketball game, with its constant "boing, boing, ding!" But it closed down every night before 11:00, so that was OK. Other than that, I've never had a problem with noise at BWV (except the occassional next room stuff, but that can be anywhere).
