NOBODY IS MORE SURPRISED THAN US! GKTW alumni return! 10/21 MOVING DAY!!

Fantastic! So thrilled for Rachel! Wonderful that Lisa sang a song with her....very special! Hope you are enjoying your trip!

Hi Judy, Know you are busy with appointments once you and the family are home again. Just letting you know I sent several e-mails but will let you know here to look for a package tomorrow from UPS. Having a nice visit with my sister and this is her last week here. Some friends are coming over for lunch to try our pizza since the husband has celiac and he can enjoy our new way of eating too! Take care and praying for you all.

So glad to hear about the outstanding HOB performances. It sounds like things went perfect. And another check in the block for Lisa being famous!!!! I so hope we get to see some videos!!!!!

Morning Mrs. Sunshine who is the Sunshine State as we speak...type...you know what I mean! I hope that ya'll are still having a super terrific time!

I'm glad that you are enjoying your trip. And congratulations to Rachel for a wonderful performance at House of Blues!

Imagine that........Rachel rockin' the House of Blues!!! Who would have ever thought THAT was possible........... :rolleyes1

Sounds like I should have been there for the return engagement! ::yes:: Appears I missed quite a show....... :(

Thank you all for the wonderful supportive messages!. We are still on a high from Friday night AND the band leader has already asked us about Rachel (and the entire family) coming back to do a show in Orlando AND Tampa! YES PLEASE!!!! Words can't describe what a night and day experience this show was over the last time!!

Deborah, we had hopes Lisa would sing, I just didn't want to be disappointed if she couldn't...and she didn't disappoint the audience!! Tink, Rachel is just that good, she is able to join in with anyone playing and keep up. The songs were written by the band and Rachel fit right in. On the last song when the audience begged for her to return to the stage, she told me the bandleader told her no one had ever joined them on stage with a guitar for that song, the song was very difficult so she was up there hearing all of this BEFORE she played (I had no idea) and she TORE IT UP! Marv, I actually looked for you SEVERAL times, I really wanted you to walk in and surprise us!!! Amy, I think it was you who asked about the sound system (a huge problem last time, we couldn't even hear Pete). HOB and the band went out of there way to ensure we would hear everyone...and NO ONE (except for the servers doing their job) walked in front of us and NEVER onstage, lol.

I can't type anymore right now, yesterday morning I had been up for about two hours when I began having extreme unexplained dizziness. I am still feeling disorientated and nauseous.

Gail, I will let you know when the package arrives. THANK YOU for remembering David's birthday!! Praying Billy is improving, I need to check my emails.

That is exciting they want Rachel to come back and perform. She must be excited. I hope you feel better soon Judy, I am sure you have lots to do and feeling poorly doesn't help.

Wow! Wow! Wow! That's amazing that she has an ear like that for music!

Congrats on your invites back to Orlando and Tampa. Where do they play in Tampa?

I hope you are feeling better now. You sure don't need to feel dizzy or nauseated! Mamas can't get sick, there's no time for it. I've been sick since Friday. If I'm not better by this Friday, I'm going to the doctor. But I have no fever, just nasty sinus, cough, scruffy voice, and for a few days my throat was raw, but the throat is fine now.

Happy Birthday to David!

Fantastic!! I am so thrilled for your family that HOB went so well! I truly hope it all works out for you to go back for another show soon!!!

Judy, hope you are feeling better very quickly. Do you have vertigo or sinus issues? I know either one of those can cause me to have a miserable day similar to what you described. My doctor gave me some exercises for the vertigo that have really helped, but it still stinks!

I am off to work and then to try to get some yard work done this afternoon. We are supposed to get snow (higher elevations 12-24 inches) on Friday and I have traffic duty that afternoon! I thought traffic duty was bad last Friday when it was 42 degrees and drizzling, but snow is worse, I think! And here I thought I'd avoid the bad weather if I signed up in October!! To add insult to injury, it's been in the 80s all week so far and just gorgeous. Sigh! Our weather these past few months has just been insane.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today. How is JJ doing? And Johnnie?

Judy, thanks for popping in and giving us another update on how well Rachel, Pete and Lisa did at the House of Blues. Rachel has a good ear for music or she wouldn't have been able to pick up the song so quickly.

I hope that you start feeling better.

Wow! What a great opportunity for Rachel to be invited, along with the family, to be there for the band again! To be able perform while still recovering from the concussion is so amazing but I shouldn't be surprised because of Rachel's love, dedication and practice time she devotes to playing the guitar. Glad it was a vast improvement in your over all experience than the first time at HOB.

Hope and pray that you are feeling better Judy! Just wanted to let you know that the package arrived at your front door! Do you have any plans for David's birthday tomorrow?

Last night, Billy said that he's seeing better with his right eye. He felt he could see well enough to drive himself today to run some errands. He's getting used to not having to wear glasses except to use his reading glasses while on the computer or seeing things up close. He is seeing really good with the left eye which didn't have the same problem with the pressure behind the eye like the right one did. Thanks for praying for him!

Welcome home!! How awesome that Rachel was invited back to play with them!! She does have amazing talent and to follow a band on their songs is just awesome!!

Oh no! I hope whatever it is you get over it fast. I'm sure you have a lot to catch up on so no time to get sick.

I want to say a special birthday blessing and wish for my incredible son David, who turns 19 today. He is a compassionate young man who blesses my life daily and I am fortunate to call him my son. God has given me four of the most extraordinarily gifted, kind, loving children and I truly am one blessed Mama! Happy birthday to my baby boy!

Lisa and Rachel both played at The Evening Muse last night and they were phenomenal!!! We were so honored that their pediatrician and her husband, as well as the Child Life specialist and her husband from the hem-onc clinic came out to hear them last night! Also, the Arts for Life co-oordinator came as well, it was such a BLESSING to have someone other than me in the audience rooting for them!

I don't know if I can work out the logistics, but the Concert & Marketing Chair for a neighboring county sought us out after the last open mic night. He introduced himself and asked us to come be his guest at a concert this weekend in Statesville featuring Umi Garrett, a piano prodigy who has been featured on Ellen. Last night he told us he would like to have Lisa come sing Saturday to the 700 member audience prior to the concert starting! Rachel already has plans with friends Saturday night, so she is torn as to playing for Lisa and having fun with her friends. I told her it was up to her, this WAS short notice and she needs downtime and fun too! She was a bit foggy headed on stage last night (forgot what they were playing and had to ask Pete!) but she did an amazing job none-the-less! I am SO not a stage Mom, so I feel the choice should be hers. This guy is dually impressed with both girls talents and if this doesn't happen Saturday night, there WILL be an opportunity for them to perform at a later date, I feel confident about that!

Gail, as you know, David was THRILLED with his unexpected and truly thoughtful gift! Thank you! :cloud9::love:

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and love for my family. :goodvibes We need them. Pressing need? A vehicle for Pete! That would lighten my load considerably!! I hit the ground running on Monday and in spite of my vertigo (it was sudden onset) I am still going and going....

How awsome you all were invited back to HOB and Tampa!! :cool1: I am so happy for you all! And to get invited this weekend! That is just wonderful Judy!!

Definately praying for Pete to be able to get a car. Hopefully soon!

We got final word. Ty does have a Mitochondrial Disease. It is a blessing that after 14 years we have answers! Not only for ourselves but for HIM. He needed to know. And now he is understanding it a little at a time. We are pretty familiar with it and know what it can do and has done to others as well as what he is experiencing. It is very hard to fathom that this is what he has. But we are working through the emotions as best we can.

Happy Birthday David!!!!!!!!
How cool that Rachel invited back to play in Florida. Now if that could just happen next May I could see her perform. I bet Lisa was thrilled to be asked to sing on Saturday. Praying that you feelbetter soon and for a solution to the problem of a car for Pete.

Prayer request Jonnies birthday is Saturday and the other day he told me all he wants for his birthday is for "his concussion to disapear." Prayers that he would wake up on his birthday feeling more like himself would be greatly appreciated.

Vertigo and the ongoing nausea can be so hard to deal with! Have you tried antivert? Sometimes it helps and is OTC. That and zophran might help a bit? Keeping you in my hopes and prayers!
Congrats to Rachel!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID!
