party::bday:
Happy Birthday David!!

Hope you are feeling better, Judy!

Glad that Lisa and Rachel had a good performance and were invited to perform again. I think it's great Rachel gets to decide what she wants to do. Whatever she decide I know she will have a great time.

Prayers!!

Birthday wishes to David today! :)

I'm thrilled so hear how incredible last Friday was! Did you have a sprained face from smiling so much? :lmao: The demand for your talented girls is so exciting. :lovestruc

Take care Judy and I hope you feel better soon.

Happy Birthday David!

Judy, hope that you are feeling better and can have a nice relaxing weekend at home.

Happy Birthday David! Hope you're feeling better Judy. Sounds like Rachel did really well at HOB. Of course we all knew she would and I'm so glad Lisa got to sing too. She is well on her way to being famous. I think they both are!

Happy belated birthday, David!!!!!!!

I am so happy to hear of the "come back" performance request and excited for the current performance news! I am definitely praying for your vehicle needs and that you feel better, Judy!

Hi Judy! Happy birthday to David! I hope the rest of your trip was fantastic and you are feeling much better. My dad has bouts of vertigo so I know how tough it can be. Hang in there and know we are all praying for you!

Popping in to say hello.

I hope the birthday celebration was fun. Last year as a teenager...wow!

JJ's been having more good days than bad days. His OT therapist is helping him to make a sensory calming back pack. So far he has a bean bag we made for bean bag tapping, a notebook to record things, a list of calming exercises to choose from, and a "poor man's" lava lamp (a water bottle filled with soap, glitter, and water). These are all things that he is responsible for and can do himself to calm him down. It gives him a sense of being in control.

That back pack sounds interesting, I hope it helps JJ a great deal. Keep everyone updated please.

A quick hello! Belated Happy Birthday to David. I hope he a good one and a yummy cake!

Great news with Lisa and Rachel and their performances.

I am sorry I have been so sparse. I am swamped. We have had major piano fiascos as the original man that was supposed to fix our piano destroyed it instead but then claimed pieces were broken and it was out of his hands. And yes, he was paid in full. The 2nd technician said that without a doubt he dropped the keyboard when he took it for repairs. So we are paying again and my pocketbook is NOT happy.

On the good news front I can't even remember if I posted but Alexa was in her first equestrian show a couple of weeks ago and did three walk trots and received one 6th place ribbon. Today was her 2nd show. Again, three walk trots with almost the same # of kids competing and she received teo 2nd place ribbons, one 3rd place ribbon and overall Reserve Grand Champion (2nd place). I was beaming!!!! I told her not to expect this at the next show b/c the pony she rides is inconsistent and seemed to behave quite well today (not so much in her first competition). Pony behavior is probably half the key to a good performance, maybe more. She said she doesn't care if she wins, she just likes riding and being with Smooch :)

Other quick update news: I have a root canal scheduled this week :( My poor boss had a retinal detachment :( Dh has been sick for about 2 weeks :( with a bad virus.

The good is kids are doing well and we're keeping busy. Must run and feed my girl.

Oh, Andrea, SO sorry to hear about your piano troubles! I'll be praying for you, your DH and your boss to be feeling better soon. That's great news about Alexa's horse show! I'm so glad she has something that is so much fun for her.

Great news about JJ! That backpack sounds like such a creative idea for him, and I love how it gives him some control over his environment by giving him the choice of what he wants to use. I hope he continues to have many, many more good days!

Judy, hope you are seeing some improvement in the vertigo and that David had a wonderful birthday!

Stopping by to say hi. I hope your weekend was good and you are feeling better. You wrote about a comfort box on one of your old reports, maybe you could share the list of items again, it was such a great idea. :goodvibes

Thinking of you and sending hugs, thoughts and prayers your way.

Tink, so glad to hear that JJ is doing a little better. Love the backpack. I may have Jonnie make something like that.

Belated Happy birthday to David. Hope everyone else is well. Sorry been MIA a bit lately

At the risk of missing something important, I am going to respond to a few folks. Please do not be offended or think I don't care if I miss you. Life has been its normal busy self and add a few sick folks to the mix and a Mom who doesn't feel well and there you are. I am sorry and hope that you will all please understand. I have already lost too many friends because I can't always keep up here.

I called my doctor of 18 years for an appt Friday. It seems I haven't been seen in a couple years (I know she called me in a RX last year) and they purged me from the system, records and all! I have always felt she was in it for the money more than the patients, so my only regret is she wouldn't see me until October 17! I have picked a new MD based on online reviews and will be seen October 10, the soonest I could find....My OB-GYN has probably dropped me too...Oh well, I need a tune up and I am sure they will have some wonderful tests they want me to have. Now to get Pete off his duff to do the same...

For those who like to see videos of the girls performing:

Lisa's best performance since her meds were adjusted.

Rachel playing Blue Sky (Allman Brothers)

Rachel playing Hey Joe (Jimi Hendrix) This was a concussion fogged performance.

Emma: great to see you. :goodvibes I know about being MIA. It has cost me friends, but I promise I will always be here for you, just in my own time.
Krystal: Praying Jonnie is better. His remark reminded me of David, all he wanted for his BD was for me to not have to work so hard...such kind children we have! I hope Jonnie's was good.
Michelle: We have a comfort/fidgit box with some fun stuff inside. Many things you said, some playdoh, putty, musical balls with a tingly touch, a sound machine to make crazy sound effects (it is quiet), a scalp massager, balancing bird, little wood figures you push and collapse, or just change shapes and so much more...it has helped on many occasion and I even like to fiddle in the box sometimes. Praying things are continuing to improve.
Amy: how are things going, you had so much on your plate!
Andrea: SO PROUD of Alexa, but sorry to hear about the piano!! How is your shoulder?
Kathy: Praying for Mark's job, glad to hear your brother is improved!
Lisa: How are things going at your house, you are another one who keep sa full plate!
Gail: Praying Billy is continuing to improve and if I can add (doubtful) Your sister has gone back home. I hope you are well, I need to catch up. :headache:
Courtney: I just realized you have a TR...I am beyond mortified at how far behind I am with you all. I really can't say I am sorry enough, I don't mean to be such a slacker. Forgive me please.
Jennie: Praying you are doing well with this deployment and you are having some fun with your sweet girl.
Brenda: How is your foot/ankle?
Tonya: I know you weren't surprised by Ty's diagnosis and your right it doesn't change anything...sometimes it is a hard pill to swallow when you finally hear that long awaited diagnosis. I am sorry. Mito is a tough disease and the unknown of how it affects each person makes things difficult.
Robyn: Thanks for being here when you can. How is retirement? I predict it is VERY BUSY!
Alyson: How are you and DH feeling? Any trips coming up?
Michele: If you are on target, you should be moving in to your rebuilt home next week! I am so very excited for you!!!
redomni: How are things going?
I know I am missing many of you and I am truly sorry, I need to hop in the shower so Pete can get to work. We MUST find him a vehicle soon, sorry for the lament. Before I go I want to Thank you all for the wonderful Birthday wishes for David and myself. Birthdays are to be celebrated!!! Each time I am fortunate enough to celebrate my children's I feel blessed. I have too many friends who no longer have that privilege.

To my sweet dear friend who I HOPE is celebrating HER special day today I say:

Hi Judy, Billy's eyesight continues to improve. My sister went home on Saturday. Seasonal hayfever has hit me and one of my ear is plugged up. It should clear up in a week like the last time. Avoiding going outside while it's windy for now. Allergies are really bad here right now for many people. All the rain we got last month is now bringing up all those weeds.

Glad you were able to find a doctor to see this week. Hope you don't have to have too many tests and this will get Pete to have himself checked out too!

Just listened and watched all the videos. Wonderful and fantastic performances by Lisa, Rachel and Pete! Take their act on the road....seriously, on Stormy Monday, Lisa did an awesome job belting out that song! :thumbsup2 Rachel is so talented playing the guitar that even with her brain fog, she so has more talent than I will ever have in my little toe. Bravo to your talented trio! :rockband:

Praying that Pete will find that car soon! Take care of yourself!

Andrea, sorry to hear what happened with the tune-up on your piano and the added cost. Congratulations to Alexia on her equestrian competition placements!

Happy birthday to Tracy! :cake:

Praying for all the needs and requests!

Hi Judy. For some reason I can't hear the videos. I'm sure it's probably just my computer. I'll try again later. Retirement is wonderful and it gives me the time to help my dad out when he needs it. I am asking for prayers for him as he took a nasty fall off a ladder last Wed. and dislocated his shoulder. He had surgery on Thurs. but is still not feeling well and very weak. He is 84 and was trying to remove a storm door. I know your trip report is the place to ask for prayers for him.
Robyn
