NOBODY IS MORE SURPRISED THAN US! GKTW alumni return! 10/21 MOVING DAY!!

Judy, it was so wonderful to see Rachel smiling and looking a lot better than she did previously. God is so good! I know that she still has a way to go but it's wonderful to hear that she's improving.

I will continue to pray for Rachel's healing and for Lisa's newest medical issue.

I hate that we don't live closer than we do. I'd have my handman, John, at your house and I'd be right there with him. I may not know a whole lot about construction but I can hold my own and I'm a really good "go-fer".

Praying for JJ and all of my dear friends here!:hug:

Jennie!!!

I hope your day was good. I can't help but think back to when Pete was deployed on my Birthday. I hope you were at least able to speak with Bill! :goodvibes

Awwww, Judy, thank you!!!! ((((((((hugs)))))) I was able to Skype with Bill three times today, which was awesome! So blessed with the technology we have available today. My aunt, uncle, and two cousins came over to my folks' at 1 and stayed til after 10. We ate too much and played games and laughed our heads off. :)

I hope you all have been having a good weekend!!!

Thanks for all the prayers for my dad. As of right now they are probably not going to do his other surgery this week because last night his heart rate went up and he was complaining of chest pains. When they did a CT scan they didn't find any clots but they did notice that he has fluid on his lungs.

Judy I hope that Rachel is continuing to improve, and that things are going okay for all of the other kids. Your movie nights look like a lot of fun. My husband and I sat around and watched Hercules and Hunchback of Notre Dame last night.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.

Your post is inspiring Judy. You always have such a unique way of looking at things that makes me want to be a better person. Thank you. I suspect you are busy and that is why we haven't seen a lot of you here lately. I am praying even when I don't sign in.

Happy birthday Jennie. :bday:

I got Pete off to work and Lisa and I are leaving shortly. We have several appts today and our regular activities tonight. Thanks to all who have enjoyed our movie night photos and who have popped in to say hi. Madeline, EXCELLENT call on the homeschooling, Praying for Mallory, when you wrote about her PE experience it really struck my heart...I get it. The only difference is, Lisa doesn't look like a heart child she is much taller, at the 95th percentile.

I am not going to apologize for being so far behind, those of you who love my family understand. Gail, Tracy, Jennie, Michelle and anyone else I am missing...I have had a difficult time with the computer still and didn't even mess with it at all yesterday...I know you are patiently waiting on responses to emails, thank you for not taking it personally that I haven't yet had the time to respond. With the MD offices closed yesterday we took advantage of being home and did a bit of deep cleaning, which I apparently haven't done in many areas of my home since Christian went off to college. We did some moving of furniture from room to room. We have the daybed in the guest room now (it also has a full size twin pop-up) and have moved all of the girls music equipment to the guest room and took the dresser out to the girls room (they have our bonus room as their bedroom and it is huge). David got the guest room bed, he loves it. David's room, Rachel and Lisa's room, the classroom and the guest room all got some heavy duty changes. Another week of nothing to do could see me actually make a huge dent in the problem, alas that isn't going to happen any time soon.

Rachel is continuing to make small gains and apparent losses. The brain is a delicate, unknown organ and we are doing our best to stay positive about the entire process. She is taking an online college class on the history of Rock and Roll and that will prove challenging since we have to limit screen time. David's really enjoying the business class thus far (They had some intro stuff he has been watching online and reading the text) and he is excited to jump in today. Christian is doing much better as well, so we will take any and all good news. This week is going to be one of those weeks, with a lot of extra "stuff". Rachel has a SOR show on Saturday (extra practices, where I have to police the time she participates) and the girls have the open mic night Wednesday.

I know many of you start school today and many have already been back for several weeks. Special prayers Courtney. Many have life threatening issues and other medical worries. Whatever the week holds for you all, My prayer is that it is full of blessings and Gods protection.

Checking in here instead of on my phone app so I can reply. Continuing to send thoughts and prayers and pixiedust: in particular for Rachel to have many more improvements and many less setbacks, and for Lisa's issues, including the new ones! And in general for everthing going on with your family Judy!

Rachel did a great job with her movie night! And  for your trip that is just around the corner!!! :goodvibes

Rachel's Movie Night was really neat! I really love her butterfly shirt. She had some good ideas for the food. Where do you come up with all of these great idea's? I want to start our movie nights in November/December. Closer to December if I can hold off long enough:thumbsup2 I am sorry she continues to take a few steps forward and a few steps back but I am happy to hear about those forward steps! Hopefully she doesn't need to go to speech therapy. I hope the things that have been found recently with Lisa are not something that will continue to give her problems.

How is your dad doing? I do think of him and you all. This whole new healthcare thing is really weighing heavily on my mind. It is so hard as it is then they bring on the "affordable" healthcare. Definately doesn't seem so affordable.

I'm thinking of starting my ptr. How early is too early? :rotfl2:

Moving furniture yesterday? We had to do that on Saturday when we replaced the carpet in the living room. Took off all the furniture on the carpet and then replace them once we put the new carpet down. We were tired afterwards. Started really cleaning up inside the house before company arrives next week.

Praying that Rachel keeps improving instead of having setbacks! Hope she and Lisa have a blast on open mic night! I know you'll keep an eye on Rachel that she doesn't overdo any of her activities. Maybe you can try having Rachel stand or sit with her bare feet on the ground outside for 30 minutes to an hour and see if that might help her. Let Bandit go outside with Rachel.

Got this e-mail yesterday and thought it tied in with what we've been talking about recently. "What Your Pet Instinctively Knows About Health... And the Simple Lesson She Can Teach You" It's about how Grounding is beneficial to both humans and pets.

Slowly catching up since we got home after 16 days away.

I am glad Rachel is making progress, and I loved the latest movie night.

Chiming in just behind Kathy here! I'm back as well (with a busted ankle now but at least that happened after we returned home!) and now I'm getting caught up!

Loved the Bugs Life themed movie night/dinner. You have some creative and clever kids! :)

I met up with Dean (Retired Grand Marshal host) last week and I have something that I will be sending you. Hopefully your PM box isn't full. :)

Loving seeing you love on everyone else despite facing all that you do with life's challenges!

Judy, hugs and prayers, sorry to hear about the continued computer issues! Praying for Rachel's improvement. Sorry to hear about Lisa's issues. Your medical costs are just shocking, I can't imagine. Glad to hear that David is enjoying his class and that Christian is doing well. You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

Loved the photos of Rachel's movie night. The butterfly is beautiful. I took an Entomology class in university and did a bug collection. I should look for my "bug box," I think I still have it around somewhere. Your butterfly looks like it's spread nicely already, so you shouldn't have to soften and spread it (but if you want to adjust the wings at all, you can put some wet paper towel with a drop of Lysol in the bottom of a jar and put butterfly in for a few days. Then it will be soft enough that you can gently manipulate it. We had fancy spreaders but David could make something with some soft wood- need two pieces with room between for the body. It has to be soft wood because you stick pins to hold the wings- not through the wings but around you can use some parchment/wax paper over the wings to help the pins hold it the way you want. Then let it dry in the sun).
If you soften it you can pin it but if you don then you should just be able to find/make a deep frame/shadowbox to put it in, just lay it in some batting. Tuck a mothball in the corner of the frame and display!

Michele, glad to hear that your house is coming along nicely!

Prayers to everyone in need.

Judy, just stopping in to say I'm thinking about you guys and praying today's a good day.

Madeline, EXCELLENT call on the homeschooling, Praying for Mallory, when you wrote about her PE experience it really struck my heart...I get it. The only difference is, Lisa doesn't look like a heart child she is much taller, at the 95th percentile.

95th percentile!!! :scared1: What are you feeding her!! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I know though what you mean about not looking like a heart child!! Sometimes I wish Mallory wore a sign that explained to all the she comes into contact with what she has been through and what precautions should be taken. I think because she looks so "normal" (besides the height) that people assume she is better!! :lmao: This is why we were struggling at school.

Thanks for the support with homeschooling (Mallory is loving it an actually getting more done now:goodvibes) and thanks for the prayers!

The same right back at you. I can't believe you are dealing with heart and brain issues!! :worship: Hugs and prayers to you and your family. I hope that Rachel will be turning the corner soon!!! I know the issues with Lisa must be heavy on your heart too! Sigh!! I hope you get good news soon!!

Big Hugs,

Madeline

Popping in to let you know I'm thinking and praying for you.

Got a call yesterday, my dad was taken by ambulance to the hospital. It looks like another brain bleed.

I Judy! I haven't read back to catch up at all. I hopefully will. We are back and getting back into the swing of things. I hope things Are going as well as could e expected anyways.

Just checking in since I haven't been here in a few days. Judy I hope that everything is going okay and you haven't had any new problems crop up.

Lovethattink, I hope that everything turns out okay, I know first hand how scary it can be to get the call that your dad is rushing to the hospital. I will keep him and the rest of your family in my prayers.

If I can continue to ask for prayers for my dad he is in ICU with pneumonia right now and they are having trouble keeping his O2 levels up.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them

Back again today to let you know I'm thinking about you guys. Hope everything is okay!

Judy, popping in to say I'm thinking of you and hope you are having a great day! Praying for all the requests on here.
