NOBODY IS MORE SURPRISED THAN US! GKTW alumni return! 10/21 MOVING DAY!!

Love Lisa's Tink shirt. It looks like she is growing and getting thin. The cake looks huge. If only I could eat chocolate. Poor Rachel. She is a good sport to paticipate, but it's easy to see she doesn't feel her best. Continued prayer. I am calling the neurologist today. I feel like I need more information and education about his tics. Last night he had some new issues.

Just stopping in to let you and Rachel know I have been thinking of her. She looks so tired in that photo :( Rest, rest and more rest will get her through this.

Christian's cake looked yummy!!! I've been trying to be good the past two days though b/c on Sunday we went to see Christopher Titus and I couldn't even button my skinny jeans. I had to wear a maxi dress instead (think mumu / Shamu style). I even went walking the past two mornings and did some abs yesterday. I surely can't do a t-stand on one side though, but a little mini workout is better than none at all.

No update, I am worried about Rachel. I hope everyone will just stop and pray for her and let you know. Sending many prayers. :goodvibes

That cake looks AWESOME. I love chocolate! Poor Rachel, I can see in her eyes that she is just tired and doesn't feel good. I hope she gets her sparkle back soon! :grouphug:

Thinking about you and your awesome family today.

Sending prayers and good thoughts your way!!

Hugs,

I am playing catch up this week from the extra appts we missed last week when Rachel got her concussion. We have an appt at the concussion center tomorrow. Rachel took the Impact test Saturday. When we were at Lisa's sleep neurology appt Monday, her doctor suggested I have the other three children tested so we have a baseline for them, because you never know when a concussion can occur. They recommend them now for all student athletes (even dancers) and the MD said it is beneficial for everyone, especially children. SO, now we will get Impact Tests for the others as well. It is cheap and easy, let me know if you want details how to do it for your child...they MUST be 10 years of age or older.

Rachel is not better, symptoms vary at times and are unpredictable. She has missed out on a lot because of this fainting spell and she will not be performing tonight. Lisa IS performing; however, not what she had planned. She WAS going to play the keyboards and sing, with Rachel accompanying her on her beautiful pink bass guitar Billy and Gail gave her for her birthday. Lisa is singing Somewhere over the Rainbow now. She sang it for me after her voice lesson last night and I cried it was so beautiful.

This month is the month that Lisa needs to see many of her specialists and have testing...sometimes the return times set us up for a crazy month like this one, so instead of just 6 to 8 MD appts a week, we have even more. Throw in a few of David's extra specialist follow-ups this month, dentist for the 6 of us and Rachel's new diagnosis and appts to accompany that...it is the perfect storm month. :rotfl2:

As always, I am so very thankful to those of you who let me know you are here, old friends and new!!! Sherri, thanks for the call it was great to catch up and glad I was home. You can NEVER have too many friends and I am thankful for mine!! :goodvibes

I am sorry I can't do responses again, just wanted to say Tracy, welcome home and looking forward to hearing about the wedding. Thank you for David and Rachel's cards (more later :goodvibes) and Madeline, Thank you for your unexpected card for ME (more later :goodvibes) , that was so sweet of you both! :goodvibes Krystal, looking forward to hearing more; Meredith, wish I could share some cake with you; happybelle, thanks for all of the prayers; Andrea, praying for your shoulder, Alyson, Thanks for the update; Gail, praying all went well at the dentist for Billy; Kelly, let me check my schedule, it keeps changing; danygirl, praying things settle down for you; Sandra, praying you get some rest; Emma, Thanks for letting me know you are here~ praying; redomni, so sorry you have to deal with the longterm effects of concussions; Jill, how is your grandmother? Jill and Gail, Thanks for the Sea World info, I had seen it on something I got last week...I STILL haven't heard from our Rep about the KSC tickets! Courtney, I cant wait to find out what you have planned for your Mom. Kathy, thanks for letting me know you are here. Lisa, Christian loved his BD graphic; Deborah, Rachel feels so badly she hasn't minded just sleeping/lying around. Lisa has been a helpful distraction. Jennie, I should have know you couldn't disclose the exact date, I am sorry the time is drawing close. Krysten, Little Mom to be, how are you feeling??? Michele, love seeing the new construction, Do you have pics of the entire house, that looks like the new garage? I don't envy you the rebuild, I know you will be relieved when it is done. Tink, Praying you got some help/answers, I am so truly sorry JJ is going through all of this! I know I am missing a LOT, PLEASE forgive me if I missed you, it was NOT intentional. I just don't have a lot of time at the moment with the new stress of another diagnosis. I Thank those of you who understand! :goodvibes

:scared: about all the appointments you have this month! Billy's is nothing compared to your family. To him, one is too many! :lmao: Sorry that Rachel will not be able to perform with Rosie to accompany Lisa tonight. Glad that Lisa is feeling better to be singing. It's good to hear that Rachel is resting as much as she can. Poor sweetie! Praying with all the testing and appointments that nothing new shows up for anyone. You already have more than enough on your plate. Take care of yourself and get some rest when you can.

As hectic as this month is for you, I think it's good to get everything all done and out of the way before your vacation. I know you will still be playing catch up when you get back though.

I just can't imagine how you keep up with it all. I can't even keep my house caught up and am behind on issues that need to be dealt with (but I need my dh on board for rat clean up and the mold and rotten baseboards in areas of the garage). But I am slowly working on some cleaning/decluttering/organizing and got a fair amount of yard work done during our cool, non humid days the past couple of weeks (so much for global warming when it's in the 70's in VB in July and Aug). I do what I can but I could NEVER do all you do! You are amazing!

I'm sure Lisa will perform beautifully tonight and am sad Rachel can't be there with her. Keeping her in my prayers for a speedy recovery -- but not too speedy ... slow and easy with lots of sleep :)

I am so sorry to hear of Rachels concussion. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this busy month of appointments. Happy belated BIRTHDAY to Christian:)

Judy - you make me simply DIZZY just reading about all the appointments! I don't know how you do it, I do go to remember the few appts I have in a YEAR, you have more in one day than I do for the year, good for me I guess, bad for you. But you have to get them all in now so that you can relax and have a great vacation :cool1: How many days now? I feel pretty sure you are just counting the days now, soon it will be HOURS to count and then its time to go to sunny Florida.

I'm sorry to hear Rachel is having to miss out on things. I know Lisa will shine! Prayers for all the extra appts going on currently! I am continuing to pray!!!!

Thank you for checking in and I pray for you all!!!

I really feel for Rachel. I hope she begins to feel better soon.

That's awesome that Lisa is performing tonight. I know she will do a great job singing Over the Rainbow. If you tape it, I hope you will share it. I know JJ would love to hear it, so would I.

I had JJ at the neurologist this afternoon. We are trying some new things. Hopefully JJ's ticks will be better soon. Between choking and hyperventilating it hasn't been easy. He told us to keep not making a deal about it in front of JJ. I was able to talk to him away from JJ and he told me if he passes out put him on his side and he should come right to. He said the main thing is keeping him calm because anxiety seems to be his biggest trigger. He suggested trying to get into OT and counseling sooner than Sept. So we are waitlisted for cancellations.

Could I please ask for some prayers for John? We have seen a new, disturbing symptom. There are lots of possibilities but if it's what they fear it would mean more medicines and treatments and the very real possibility that his already compromised body couldn't handle it. I'm doing my very best to stay positive but could use prayers.
Sorry for hitch hiking your thread Judy. I bet the increased doctors appointments are making it hectic. Sending thoughts and prayers your way and hoping you can find a few minutes of downtime here and there.

Continued prayers for Rachel!!

I hope your able to video Lisa tonight and share! I know there are many of us who would love to hear her beautiful singing!

Many hugs and prayers for you too!

Judy,
Praying you get the week and all the appointments conquered. I know how challenging it can be.
Just let me know. I start back to work on the 19th. I am taking Lily to Charlotte tomorrow to get her uniform skirts. She's shot up and is taller than I am all of the sudden!
Praying and praying that you guys get some breaks soon!!!

xo

A huge YUCK to all those appointments!! I don't know how you do it!! :confused3

If it were me I'm sure I wind up missing appointments and/or going to the wrong appointments on the wrong day!! :lmao: You must be good at organizing with all these things that keep you busy!! :thumbsup2

I will say a prayer that all the appointments go well and Rachel will be feeling better soon!!!

Big hugs for you!!

Madeline

PS Oh and if you get a minute someone of the Wish Trippers thread is asking about returning to GKTW for the day. I looked in the bunny book and online but I can not find the information she is asking for. I think you said you have been back so maybe you could answer their question (if you have time of course :))

Judy,

Ask and here it is.

This is the latest photo of the house. More than the garage for you to see.

I am so tired...and humbled. THANK YOU for the supportive messages and love...you all are wonderful.

Lisa did great tonight; however, we missed Rachel. I hope we can get some insight tomorrow. David has orientation at the local college, Christian is taking him for me, since we have the Concussion Clinic.

Krystal, praying for peace for you my friend...God is Faithful, I am asking Him for your miracle!! (Deborah is right...ALL needs are important and prayed for).

Michel, your house is looking awesome!

:love::love:to you all, I must sleep!! I can hardly hold my eyes open.

Thank you again for the support and prayers!
