Nobody book anything and it will all be on sale. Who's with me?

I see wait times on the phone are high again for the recently released promotions, just like the FD one. Here on the boards we all know about the FD debacle. Perhaps, if we all revolt and don't make any room reservations Disney will discount all resorts and room categories. What do you think? I'd be willing to give it a try. Would you?

HA!! That would be nice, wouldn't it?

Sorry but I'm already booked. Also, I'm seeing SEVERAL posts about people not being able to get through to change their existing reservation so going ahead and making another. Therefore, for all intents and purposes, double booking.

;)

I booked on Monday. I'm talking everyone who wants January, February and March should have waited until now to book. Then Disney would have a super sale going on now. Low low prices.

I did this. Held for over an hour this morning then just went ahead and booked a new res with new dates under the late winter discount. Just as I hit "purchase" a CM came on the line. So now I am waiting for the deposit I already paid in the original reservation (for May) to be transferred to the new one for March.

I don't plan on booking anything until I see some kind of discount for the month we plan on going. In the meantime I will just keep saving up vacation funds !
If I booked now I would just have to call back again if a discount is released anyway, and if too many rooms look like they are already booked , that means less will be offered when and if a discount does come out.
Yes, I'm waiting! :surfweb:

I'm actually considering cancelling my current reservations on this theory.

I got a bit anxious and booked that VISA SPD promotion... still expecting a PIN to arrive with FD. When a PIN finally arrived and it was only the SPD, I was bummed.

Since we aren't getting the vacation bargain that we expected, we are seriously considering other options.

Unfortunately I watched this play out last Easter 2014. The resorts had tons of availability so I kept waiting and hoping they'd at least include Easter week in an AP discount. I even emailed Customer Service about the lack of deals and I actually received a call back from them. The CM told me the same song and dance "Disney doesn't need to offer deals because the resorts are booked at full price...." so I asked her to check availability for Easter week at BC, BWI, Poly, CR, and WL. She, of course, saw what I saw and that was wide open resort availability in every category with only a couple months til Easter. She was a bit tongue-tied at that point but did say to keep checking back because Disney wants to fill the rooms. I did keep checking back, no deals and still lots of empty rooms. They never did fill up and a deal was not offered regardless, so I booked through Orbitz with a 20% promo code.

In my particular case, Disney might be content with parks being busy during Easter week and not necessarily caring that the resorts are not full. I guess the people actually staying at the resorts are paying top dollar (full price), so that might balance out their profit...:confused3

Easter crowds stay offsite, too. Disney gets the money from ticket sales, so their happy.

The Orbitz deals are tempting. Especially, when you can stack discounts.
