I'm not sure. There was a house within ~5 miles that burned down so since the winds were so strong maybe that's what it was? Very scary story. Divorce drama- ex husband took his ex wife hostage- held her for ~12 hours and standoff ended when the house burned to the ground. Both exes are physically ok. Mentally?

Makes you wonder about people, doesn't it? And I don't live in a bad part of the town. In fact it's a pretty nice area this happened in.

Thanks but I got a call today that the guy I was supposed to be interviewing with is "stuck out of town" so after all the heartache over it, he has cancelled on me I guess when I get ahold of him I can propose the same time next week

How frustrating!

today was very cool and the humidity dropped but the building of my one camp still has no AC and Ben (my brother who is the main teacher of the camp) found out is may be a couple weeks (likely a warranty issue which means waiting for their technicians). So this morning while the campers were busy, we scoped out a few possible rooms I found were available and found one that would work. At the end of the day, Ben had the campers carry all their groups materials over to the other building then we hauled the rest (several 4x8 foot competition tables). It only took about 1 hour for the camp staff to have everything hooked back up, not too bad!

Glad you were able to find an alternate location -- I can't imagine trying to do something without air conditioning!

This gal needs a new job! I know I'm going away but I'll be back on Wednesday....why oh why would I only be given six hours of work?! The other part timer has 36! It's ridiculous and unfair and this kind of thing keeps happening! I am soooo over this drama! As soon as I get home I will be scouring the streets and the web for something new!

LL - I'm glad the tornado went bye bye! I'm happy your safe and sound!

C- that is crazy!! Those poor people....I'm glad you're safe! I always say you can't judge people by the neighborhood they live in! I live in a regular working class neighborhood of older, modest homes. But we have a way lower crime rate than the ritzy areas! Less break-ins, assaults and all that...

Well this is going to busy a day...a very good busy LOL! I'm going to go scrapbooking this morning for a few hours (now to just consolidate all my stuff into one bag, way easier said than done LOL) and then we have some photos that are going to be taken this afternoon and then I'm having an early dinner with girlfriends!!! THankfully tomorrow night is just like last Friday....Phillip is going fishing and the house is ALL MINE MUUUAAAHHHH!!!!

What a fun day, Jen! I think I am going to attempt to scrapbook this morning after all the morning chores are done -- I bought a ton of stuff last week, my pictures are all organized, now I need to get started on actually doing some layouts.

I did find it in the grocery store. It's creamier and thicker than regular yogurt. The kind I got has fruit on the bottom but they sell it without that too. I am really loving it! I thought it would be gross but YUMMY!

LL I love Greek Yogurt! The kind I buy is something like Chobani? I'm probably spelling that wrong, but it has the fruit on the bottom. Since it's organic, I get it when I can't find soy yogurt and it's awesome!

I love Choibani greek yogurt too!! I like the vanilla... with a sprinkle of granola and a handful of berries yum yum!!

I'm off for a hair trim today... just cleaning it up, since my stylist will be on vacay for the next 2 weeks... if i wait that long, it'll be a disaster!! plus my new little nephew is being baptized Sunday (I get to be his godmother... yay! 15 nieces and nephews and FINALLY I get a turn!!) so I want to look decent for pics!

I want to scrap too.... but not sure it'll happen today. my housse is its usual sty that it is on my day off...and needs cleaned. plus its beautiful outside and i really want to go out and play in the yard!!



Some exciting news for you all..... I'm going "back to school" It's not for a new job, or bigger $$, but rather 'personal enrichment' and something i've been toying with for almost a year. Where am I going???


New York Institute of Photography!! via online program..not in person. Got all my enrollment stuff done yesterday, now I just need to wait for my materials to start. I'm very excited

Oh No!! I love me some shrimp and fried fish and sometimes calamari...its the rest of the seafood family I don't enjoy very much LOL!!!!

Good afternoon Gnomies!

I really really really really really do not want to go to work tonight. I was told yesterday that also, from now on that if we don't make a $30 DPT (dollars per transaction - the amount the aveage cutomer spends) for the week than we get written up. Then if we get written up 3 times then we get fired! Cross your fingers for me because at this point I'm not gonna make it! But at least I wont be there to hear about it - I'll be having fun with my family! Funny thing is, I don't think anyone else was told but me!

Yeah, I'll be gone for a few days. I'm leaving tomorrow and coming home on Thursday. I'm not sure if I'll get on between now and then, but if I don't, I hope everyone has a great weekend and beginning of next week!

Katie - Best of luck to you tomorrow with your interview! I know you'll do great! Have fun at camp!

LL - I'm excited to see your new do!

Paula - Congrats on your personal enrichment! Photography sounds great! I bet you'll be fabulous!! Maybe you could come up here and do some work photographing all the polar bears, moose, and igloos!
