I post & like 2 people respond to my post, but after that, nothing!& then when they DO write back, it seems like they don't even notice me :( I feel so left out! So if you're reading this because you felt bad for me I may as well ask my question....
Does anyone know if the "New" luau at the Poly is THAT much different than the original? I didn't enjoy the food too much and although the fire dancing & costumes were cool, I felt it kind of got repetative. Thanks a lot... for writing back, even if you don't have advice! (How pathetic do I sound? oh my,I need to find another hobby:( )

Yours truly obsessed with WDW,
Amy:D

Well, I'll answer your post but I can't answer your question, sorry!

I try to answer any posts I know the answer to, but there are many that I don't. Sorry, it's nothing personal! :)

Jill

No offense, but I rarely post if I don't have an answer for someone. I see ya'! Can I suggest checking out www.wdwig.com for more info maybe. Mickey

.... I know how you feel!!!! Good luck finding the info you're looking for!

And have fun planning your trip!

I feel your pain, too.:D

The show is so new that a lot of people haven't been yet. We haven't been to the new show but I can tell you what I've seen in other posts. It sounds like the show has changed a lot...it has a storyline now. The food sounds pretty much the same.

I usually don't post if I don't have an answer or relevent comment. I hope you get the answers you are looking for.

Princess 49:

I don't usually post either if I don't have an answer - it's been 8 years since I was at WDW and I've not seen the original luau either, so can't help you. I know how you feel, though -- except I'm a "thread killer" -- but I'll look for your posts and say "Hi" if I don't have an answer!

Hi there...

Most people read all the posts but stop responding if they see you already have received the answer to your question.

Sprry I don't know the answer to your question - but I am looking forward to checking out the new Spirit of Aloha show this August with my daughter.

>>^..^<<

Can't help with info on the new luau but I'll agree with you that the old one was a dissappointment.

I am going in July and made a decision to try all new places. There are so many great restuarants why not....maybe you should just go for something different. I can't imagine that there could be so many choices in family style luau food!

Hope this helps (if not it at leasts bumps you to the top which may help)

Good Luck
Sandy

Uh oh! Another thread killer! ;) :jester:
We have all been there.
Just keep bumping a thread you need answered.

Nope,I have no idea what the answer to your question is,but,I thought I say HI!!!

Do you feel the love in this board?? ;)

Don't feel bad, it seems to me that posts have slowed down lately. I think it's because the weather has been nicer and people are spending more time outside.

I think you haven't had an answer to your question because this show is so new that very few people on the DIS have seen it. I haven't seen it - remember it only opened in January/February - but I know there was one person here on the DIS who did see it and came back and raved about it. They loved the storyline and really enjoyed the food (which is mostly the same as the old luau). See if you can search for the thread.

(Update) - just did a search and you should check out this thread for a great review and pictures.

Not sure how much this will help but I think Tikiman has some info on the new luau on his site. Don't recall what info is there though. WWW.Tikiman2001.homestead.com
Great site for anything Poly.
And I know how you feel, sometimes I get many answers and sometimes I am lucky to get one. Don't ever take it personally, it is just the way the board is. There is a Thread about it on the community board called Feel like a thread killer. It is funny.
Have a great trip.

I've always wondered, how do you "bump"?

BTW, I am glad you now feel loved!! Don't you love this site -- it's so informative, and there are so many great people in this community!!

A friend from the CB went last week. New show, same old food. We loved the show but disliked the food as well. Save your pennies and go to a nice restaurant.

It's true, the people on this board ARE great-- hhmm... I am a thread killer? How did I do that? What exactly IS that? I never even knew I was one! Ya learn something new everyday- Thanks so much to EVERYONE for replying to me! Now I love the boards even more! It's so nice to feel loved :) :) :) :)

LOL I have no idea what a thread killer is either - but was so pleased to see how much you've been loved here. I've never done the Luau and I'm doing 'Ohanas next week for the first time.

Hope you have lots more fun on this forum and get more answers to your questions :sunny:

A "Thread Killer" is someone who is the last one to respond to a thread and no one responds after them. For example, I'm the last one to respond so far to this thread, if no one responds after me, I'll be a "thread killer":D
