No wbta 2013

Good Morning, Happy Cruiser Wannabes!

Just another little bump from chilly Upstate New York. I wish we'd get some news, so the planning could begin in earnest!

Happy day, all.

Good morning to all from sunny and chilly 46F, Dayton, OH!

We met our tablemates and other cruisemates of the WBTA 2011 just this weekend and now I want the 2013 WBTA even more to happen.

Going to the moon would be an interesting trip Holly. Do you suppose there would be a Pirate Night with fire works on this moon trip???:woohoo:

I bet DCL has the only permit to shoot fireworks in space... :lmao:

We MUST have this WBTA if for nothing else but to meet all of you! :goodvibes

Since we were starting to slip into oblivion - that is going towards the dreaded last page - I thought I'd post.

Happy Leap Year everyone! Tomorrow it'll be March. Puts us that much closer to knowing about this cruise? Don'tcha think?

HAPPY LEAP YEAR TO YOU TOO....and yes, it brings us closer to April when everybody seems to think that Disney will announce what we want to hear!

Happy Leap DAY!

Is anyone at any park for their 24 hour day?

Snowing here! It FINALLY looks like winter.

No, but sounds like fun!

We'll miss it by a few days. Leaving on Saturday with our travel trailer to visit The World. Haven't stayed at the Fort in many years. Looking forward to having our favorite server from the pool bar at AKV Jambo over for a nice dinner.

Actually, Evelyn (fly4free) is there with her daughter. Believe she got together with Josh the other day.

We are now officially into March!!! Another month closer to Disney's much anticipated announcement of our WBTA!!!:woohoo::cool1::yay::dance3:

Why do you think Disney is waiting until April to make this announcement on the WBTA? This will be our first TA cruise and I guess I need the expertise of all the veterans who have done the TA's in the past.

I think it probably most dependent on the dry dock at the moment and finalizing the schedule of what the Magic and Wonder will do the rest of the year.
Is there an actual date for the announcement? I have not been following this very well lately :rolleyes1

Happy March everyone! :goodvibes

I am looking forward to the arrival of Spring & hopefully an announcement from DCL! :wizard:

March - seems to be coming in like a lion, so hopefully . . . .
and now that FANTASY is here in NYC, and the hoopla will go until Friday, MAYBE(?) DCL will follow up with the rest of 2013 for MAGIC and WONDER:confused3

We NEED this WBTA - or this will become the infamous DIsBoards multi-thread that, like the Seinfeld show, was about nothing.:rotfl:

We have had a rough week around here... ready for some good news. So Disney suits puh-puh-please!!! :-)

On a better note, my DH arrived with our four-legged kids to our new house in Orlando, I'm just waiting to catch up with the rest of the family on Monday. I'm so over being "homeless" so I can't wait to get there!

Welcome to Florida! The good thing about living in Orlando is that you'll be near the parks!

I'm hoping to get over there in the next week or so before Spring Break. I'd have liked to go for the Leap Year 24 hour event but my brother was in the hospital for 8 days and didn't get released until yesterday. (he'll be ok)

However waking up and having it be March just brightens my mood. I know when I lived up north in snow/ice country it really made a difference. It just sounded so much better and one knew that Spring really was around the corner. For me, it means we SHOULD get our announcement next month...and I'll be on the Fantasy next month!

It's coming soon folks! I know it is!

Happy March everyone! We've had almost no winter here in Virginia--we even have daffodils blooming already!

And the best part, leaving two weeks from today for a week at WDW and Universal. This is our college senior son's last spring break and he's bringing friends. He's still a Disney kid at heart and we're lucky that he 'll still travel with mum and dad (although he does his own thing when we get there).

Let's hope Disney get's on with announcing the WBTA; I'm a planner and this is really annoying me!

My DS's family loves living in Lithia, FL! They've lived there for just under a year. I hope you love it too!

That is great to hear!
While I never get bored (I am what my mom calls "socially awkward" while some of my friends call me misanthropic, which of course is not true... I just don't know how to make small talk, I am very polite and will always smile and nod, I just don't start conversations easily, unless I know you well and then I won't stop talking) DH is a lot more... social?! He needs to do stuff while you can just put me in the corner with a good book and pick me up for dinner.

Hey, you sound just like me! :goodvibes On the two DIS meets I have attended so far, I have spent lots of time standing and smiling politely and hoping someone would talk to me since I'm hopeless at initiating small talk conversations myself. So let's do that together! :thumbsup2

You both sound like my DH. He is very shy and feels awkward in social situations. He even has trouble with smiling and nodding because he feels like he should say *something.* But once you get him talking, you can't shut him up. Ask Linda. ;)

Hi Claire!!!! And Margaret, and Norman, and other Pat, and Linda. I've been AWOL, too.

Here are some random things from my life:

The play is over, I'm still working 50-hour weeks, and most nights I just come home and crash on the couch.

I'm auditioning for another show next week. All you Brits - talk "British" for me here! The play is a Brit farce and I need to work on my accent. :rotfl:

I did a little free-lance typing for one of the vet's clients this week. It was a talk on the history of Venice, of all things. Brief, but interesting. I think that would be a great place for the WBTA to depart. But I won't complain if we end up back in Barca.

We're going to be fostering an aging Dachshund for a few weeks. The owner is in the hospital and the family member who was supposed to be looking after the little guy was less than responsible. Should be an interesting experience, given our current pack. My contact person tells me he's a pretty nice dog, and plays well with others. I just hope my "kids" aren't too obnoxious toward him.

Must toddle off to bed now. Another 10-hour day tomorrow, and Dennis signed us up to work at "Irish Night" tomorrow night, which is an annual fund-raiser at the school where I used to work. They used to have Irish stew, among other edibles, but this year it's going to be pimento cheese sandwiches, cheese nachos, and fish & chips. Now, I know it's Lent, but the Bishop has always given us dispensation for Irish Night. Pimento cheese and nachos? Not exactly thrilling my Irish palate. Dennis and I, however, will be serving up the Irish Coffee. Not sure how "Irish" that really is, but after a couple of them, no one cares. :thumbsup2

Hi Pat! Nice to see you :) I found Dennis to be very interesting, but conversation will be much easier to sustain between he and my husband - they are two peas in a pod.

We FINALLY had winter - basically 48 hours of snow. It stuck. This weekend, it's supposed to be 50. What's up with that?? DH has happily gone skiing.

Happy Day, all!

HI PAT! I haven't been paying as much attention lately, either...life interferes sometimes. But DH is absolutely obsessed with the Fantasy and all the hoopla around the christening.

It's been a blessedly mild winter in the Poconos; we missed a "wintry mix" a day or two ago because we are currently visiting Jess in Austin (LOVE this city!!!) She just dodged a big bullet...600 people were laid off by her company yesterday (world-wide, but the Austin division was significantly affected). Company is doing very well, profitable; layoffs complete surprise :confused3....not even rumors. She definitely received a crash course in corporate America and severance packages! Several of her close friends were let go :sad1:, but she (thankfully!!!) is still gainfully employed and still able to do the WB (if it's ever actually announced :rolleyes1).

I really wish DCL would throw us a bone :goodvibes....any old bone :rotfl2:...we're hungry!
