Why can't the water company install an automatted system like the schools do and call you before they turn off the water. It's noon, no water, and they are saying probably about 4 hours. They are laying pipes in the area.
I need a shower and I want to brush my teeth after 4 cups of coffee. UUUGggggHHHHH!!!
Just about 10 dys ago they did this. It was turned off in the late afternoon and was off for over 12 hours. DH jumped out of bed scared to death when he heard it come back on at 2 am.
Why do they do this?

No wait don't do that they may pass out! We have well water so I only feel your pain when our electric is out. Although when that happens I use a bottle of water to brush my teeth.
