No waitlist for Developers Points?

I called today to make a ressie at SSR using recently acquired developer's points. When I was told there was no availability, I asked to be placed on a waitlist and was told that they can't place you on a waitlist if you want to use DPs.

Has anyone else been told this? Is this really standard procedure???

Yes that is correct. DH and I wanted to add a day to our Dec 08 trip. A 1 bedroom for 20 points on Dec 8th no current availablity the day I called and could not be put on a wait list with developer points. So I went on a wait list with our 09 points. In less then 48 hrs from my call the room was available. So I had to find another way to use my developer points. This is standard proceedure.

Yes it is , it is also in the contract near the bottom of the page that lists your developer points and where you can use them

You should probably look at your contract regarding them to make sure.

Yes, I have done this twice, as long as you are using them at SSR, DL or RCI you may use your points and the developer points.
