We did not get 1 towel animal the whole week we were there at POP. We tipped everyday, not that that should matter.

I wonder if it is b/c our window was decorated and there was no room in the window for a towel animal????

Anyone else not get any towel animals?

Last time I read the Declaration of Independence there was something about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but nothing about towels animals.

Personally, I rather have my room cleaned more quickly and a better job of it than towel animals every day.

I would too, but I thought it was strange that all the rooms next to us except for 1 had towel animals in their windows?????

When we stayed at POR, we got a few. DD always asked when we were going to get a towel animal like the other rooms......

I wonder if there are certain Mousekeepers that don't know how or care to create them????

I've heard of people who keep their towel animals from previous visits and bring them back. Maybe that's what you saw.

Anyway, you can add me to the list of Proud DIS'ers who has never received a towel animal at a Disney resort. I can attest that the lack of creatively folded washclothes has never had an ill effect on any of our vacations there ;) .

:confused3 what the heck is that suppose to mean? the op was just asking if anyone else got them, don't think they were saying they were entitled.

To the OP, we didn't get any either at CR, they did however, make flowers out of the towels to hold our toothbrushes. I'm going to say that due to your window being decorated that's why they didn't put them in there. Was it decorated for Halloween?

That's called a little bit of humor, Lori. ;)

We didn't get them...anywhere...until we called housekeeping and asked for them.

We tipped every day and got them twice....my mom was pretty upset, she loves those dumb things. I do not think tipping=towel animals....

Last week at POP every room that we passed in the 60's facing the pool & on our 3rd floor wing in the 60's had the same cute towel animal. Also, the first afternoon we were @ POP there were tables set up outside the shopping area with people making and selling towel animals.

This was the first time at any of the resorts that we've gotten a towel animal.

I don't think towel animals are as prevelent (sp) as some think. We've been to WDW seven times and have only had a towel animal one time during two of our trips. That's like two days out of 80

I think it really does depend on the resort/mousekeepers. We were at ASmu and recieved 3 throughout our stay, and no we do not tip. Our last night there, mousekeeping had turned down our beds and left a towel animal including a cute note about a little birdie telling her we were leaving and hoping all our dreams came true! It was such a simple, yet memorable ending to a great trip!

Yep, our window was decorated for Halloween. Here's a pic :)

I didn't even know that Disney did this. We have stayed at Dixie Landing (POR), CR, CSR, and AS-Sports. We have never had a towel animal. We got one everynight of our Carnival Cruise last summer. They were cute. We didn't keep them, but we did take pictures of them.

You called and asked for towel animals?

I think that the majority of people don't get towel animals in their room, so it's really not surprising.

We got three during our stay. I wish the housekeeper would have used the time she wasted making towel animals to actually clean our room. (Yes, I'm bitter.)

We didn't tip (There was no way I was going to tip for such lousy service.), but we got towel animals anyway, so there you go.

Never had them. Granted our first on property stay my sister had just graduated from college and I'd just graduated from grad school... :) But we've never gotten them. Even on my solo trip where I left NICE tips every day.

Tipping definitely does NOT equal towel animals. Grown ups like fun things too!!! *pout* ;) (Totally joking with the pout. :) )

From what I have read on here, the resorts have been packed. So maybe your mousekeeper just didn't have the time to make towel animals.

This is one of those things that was a cute idea, but now seems to cause more sadness and trouble than it is worth. Towel animals are neat, but I would much rather mousekeeping did a deeper cleaning of my room than leave me a towel animal. Plus, now some people feel left out if the don't receive them.

OP--I don't think you were being left out on purpose. It is just one of those kind of random things at Disney. Sometimes you get towel animal, sometimes you don't. In my experience tipping has nothing to do with it.

Nope we didn't get them at the All Star Movies:( In fact, I never gave it a thought until I started reading this board...I will next August tho:)

Both times at POP we got towel animals but didn't at BWI or WL.
