Yeah, I don't know exactly how I would have felt about driving a UHaul either....I am with you, I would have just gone to Ikea and paid for delivery.

I'm surprised you only spent 2.5 hours in Ikea. Every time I go in there, it's like a black hole that just absorbs me. I could waste an entire day there for sure.

Nice apartment! Can't wait to see what it look like when you have it all put together.

How nice of your D-bro to buy you a t-shirt from the Universal store because you were sad when your mom left.

I'm sorry to hear about your U-Haul and IKEA debacle. Isn't that how it always works, you always pick the wrong way of doing something At least you still got every thing moved in to the house and then you would be going back to the most magical place on Earth soon after

So nice of your brother to buy you the shirt you wanted from Universal after your mom left. Really took your mind off how sad you felt that your mom was leaving.

I think I would have struggled with the transition between CSR and the apt... I would have wanted to live at CSR. However, the apt is lovely! Clean, new, bright and spacious!

Can't wait to see it decorated.

Great updates! Sounds like it was a pretty easy move in (minus the U-Haul stuff)! How nice of your brother to put your stuff together!

I know what you mean about CSR getting so crowded with conference stuff! Every other year we go (except for this year) b/c there is a diabetes conference there, and that was also there while you were! We had other plans this year so we missed it, but I LOVE CSR! I love the setup, pool and Pepper Market!

Can't wait to see the pics of your apartment! I almost have a mental picture

Thanks I just really wanted to go to Ikea with mom to survey the area and not go in and out like the other girls had in mind but they looked at things as well and my roommate got a bed and other bedroom items so it ended up working out but I ended up buying the same furniture as I have in Ohio but now that I think about it, I really should have gotten something else but didn't feel like I had the time to browse with a Uhaul time schedule..oh well!

I'm pretty confident that he did it to shut me up as I was semi hysterical haha. I saw a woman at the airport on Monday when I picked bro up and she was semi hysterical too so I was glad it wasn't me for once!

I guess I should introduce myself to those who don't know me or need a refresher

I'm Megan!!!!

I'm a 26 year old teacher originally from Pittsburgh, Orlando, and Cincinnati.

So I was at the point where I was 26, living at home , and was about to be unemployed with a Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate.

They say everything happens for a reason. In the meantime, we've moved into our 2 bedroom/2 bath apt, 10 mins from AK, and I've become employed! I interviewed with a few elementary schools but didn't get any bites. I interviewed with 2 daycares and were given offers but I was also given a job offer for a Montessori school which I accepted. It will provide me with higher pay, paid holidays off, summers off, and a great schedule!!!!

Well there you have it! Like I said, we're always changing and adding things to our apt. My next goal is to hang some pics in my room. I didn't take actual pics of the pool but we do have a nice pool/hot tub/ outdoor kitchen with 2 HD TVs and 3 grills. We also have 2 work-out rooms and a nice club house with computer room and another kitchen.

Hi Dis Friends!!! I hope you are all having a good week! I'll be happy when 4:30pm tomorrow arrives and the weekend begins! I figured before I post on Labor Day Weekend, I would post info about my next big "trip." I figured depending on what happens this weekend, I'll try and post Labor Day too! Tomorrow, I believe I'm having dinner with friends, Saturday-going to BB or TL with friends, and Sunday-Parks with my brother/TS lunch or dinner hopefully!!

I wanted POFQ..sold out. I wanted to take a chance for a new queen room at POR but we decided against that so we were left with..

We will hope for building 8A again

TICKETS:

Bro and I both have WDW FL Resident APs (non-premium.)

Mom and Dad will be using their "Free Dining" 2 day/one park tickets.

We will be buying MNSSHP with my AP discount and will save $10 a ticket.

DINING

We almost changed to one or two rooms at POP with QS DDP but my "resort snob of a father" refuses to stay at POP (or any value) so we will stick with CSR and use my Tables in Wonderland discount card (20% off food + 18% tip)

ADRS:

We have 3 ADRs booked but might cancel one or more when all is said and done!

9/30: MK 5:30pm:

~Bro missed this meal in June so we're going to try it again or might skip it for a QS.

10/1: DHS 6:55pm:

~Mom has been wanting to do this so we shall go!

10/2: Epcot 1:30pm:

~Haven't been to this in years!!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

9/30:
~1:30pm: Mom and Dad arrive in Orlando
~Take DME to CSR and check in (leaving my room key at the front desk)
~Leave work at 3:15pm, head to CSR, change, head to MK
~4pm: MK for MNSSHP
~12am: MNSSHP ends

10/1:
~8am: DHS for EMH
~Rides at DHS + QS lunch (TBD)
~DHS closes at 7pm

10/2:
~9am: Epcot for rope drop
~Rides at Epcot
~Mid-day break at CSR
~Food and Wine Festival
~Epcot closes at 9pm

10/3:
~I work at 7:30am
~Mom and Dad will leave for MCO at 1pm

COUNT DOWN TILL THE EARLY XMAS WEEKEND AT WDW!!!!!


It will be a short weekend but we will still have fun and it will be Dad's first time at the Halloween Party and Food and Wine. So far Xmas activities have won him over..will this beat that?!!!!

Aww sorry I should have and was going to but recalled when you said DD was going to text so I kind of waited but should have I guessed! I even looked at your schedule and saw that most of my available days you were at the resort or DTD. Oh well, next time!!

They will be flying from Cincinnati! They were able to get tickets for $215 each + we all have the Delta Credit Card so they will get to check a bag each for free which is good

They will be flying from Cincinnati in Dec as well. They were able to get tickets for around $200 each with a buy one, companion ticket for $99 which was from the credit card We really wish SW would come to Cincinnati or Dayton!!!
