No school today!

Although it's not a "snow day" because it's just raining. It's all supposed to turn to ice this afternoon. Friday is an inservice day.... makes this a 3 day week. I like it.

We have 2 feet of new snow and it's still coming down. Almost 600 schools are closed and state government is on a 2 hour delay (my employer). It will take me 2 hours just to find my car!

wish they would call off school here like they do back east when things get bad. there can be ash and soot raining down all around from the brushfires we have and they still have school. in fact i am the one that should call in and tell them no dice. the kids eat outside so there is no way to keep them out of it. i should ask my girls what they do when it rains? perhaps there is a way to keep them indoors?

Daughter started today with a 2 hr. delay---now school is closed. It's a flood day, though, not a snow day. My district has regular school, but i had to call out for the first time this year. I'm dealing with water in the basement. Think I'd rather have the snow.

We live 45 minutes east of disneyland and have some of the worst air quality in the country. We have a higher risk of cancer and heart disease here/Easily half the kids my children are friends with have asthma and breathing problems. We have a special mix of gas they use in the summer months. They should be using it year round IMHO. I don't know what the answer to it is. I can barely make out the mountains across the freeway from me in the summer.I would love to trade some of my staggering hear and brown air for some snow and blue skies in the summer.

We woke up to 10+inches and a snow day. Weather report said possibly 1-3.

No Snow day here "officially", but we are having one. Lots of schools called off, but not our school board. I don't understand when Transport Canada says, if you don't have to go out, DON"T. Stay off the roads, YET school is still on

DH is at the airport, and we have had one plane slide off the runway already. I hope he can get home safely, and at a decent time.

When it is all said and done, we should have over 2 feet. I think we have it already. They are basically saying they don't know, this was unexpected and UNCALLED for.

We are just returning from Cancun, and what a welcome home .
