No room at the Inn

My family and I are staying at Old Key West from January 7 until January 19. I thought I would take a couple of the kids down around January 2 for some fun and golf. Well I could not get a room at ANY resort. I was told ALL resorts were 100% full. Looks like the groud levels could be pretty high that week. So sad, no golf.

Yep, January 2 and 3rd probably are no problem, but the 4th - 7th is the Disney Marathon time and room availability is very tight

Since New Years falls on a Monday, many schools have that whole week off as well as Christmas week, making a two week vacation for many kids. So no surprise the resorts are booked, as many families would see the week of New Years as an ideal time to go. And the Saturday night before the Marathon is almost always completely booked. Last year, the days following New Years was reported to be quite crowded at Disney. Well, maybe cancellations will come up!
