No Rivers of Lights but Jungle Book Show!

“Jungle Book: Alive with Magic” Show – Discovery River will become the stage for a limited-engagement show inspired by Disney’s hit live-action film “The Jungle Book.” “Jungle Book: Alive with Magic” is filled with music and special effects that celebrates the new film and the classic songs, now infused with an Indian influence.

Well at least something is coming at the end of May. Hoping for more information soon!

They said ON Memorial Day begins a Limited Engagement Live Performance show based on Jungle Book...

Disney parks blog also said Memorial Day weekend, but if it is indeed Memorial Day that makes it easier for me! We check out the day before, so I don't have to worry about reworking plans. Although, I'm leaning towards not worrying about it anyway.

I'm guessing it starts on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend as I just checked and AK park hours for 5/28 show as 9 to 8 p.m. They are only until 6:30 p.m. on 5/27. (This would figure as 5/27 is the last day of our upcoming trip.)

I suppose I'm the only one a tad disappointed reading this news, as I was really hoping to see RoL over Fourth of July when I was there. Obviously, huge kudos to Disney for putting on some nighttime show, but RoL must be really backed up.

What I will say is that the RoL show has the potential to be incredible. They need to get this fixed as soon as they can because some of this footage is jaw-dropping.

Exactly. It's like they showed us this amazing footage and then turned around and said "but you're going to have to wait even longer!". That said, perhaps these featured effects will be the ones included in the JB show. If so, I'm still certainly excited.

In the same boat...our trip is Sat 5/21- Fri 5/27 so leaving the day before Unless they count Thursday as part of the weekend lol....doubtful.

If they have officially announced the night time offerings starting 5/30 then I wonder when they they will release FP+ for these venues?

I'm wondering this too. I book our FP+ this weekend, and our AK day is 7/1, which is still showing a 5pm close. Guess I'll add it to my list of things to double check every day...
