I have been looking (every five minutes it seems like) at the accu weather sight to see what the weather will be like for my Dec 14-20 trip. It looks like there is a chance of rain almost everyday!!! This sucks. I have been at the end of Dec-Jan of 03-04 and then I went Jan 05 and I never had rain except for a few night showers which didn't effect our park time. Is anyone else leaving soon and worried about this too? It looks like the next 2 weeks there will be chances of rain. UGH> :guilty:

Check the NWS. www.noaa.gov

They are WAY more accurate than accuweather. As another Dis'er put it: "They should be called UNaccuweather." :badpc: :rotfl2:

Hope you have a great trip, and remember you will RAIN OR SHINE. :sunny:

It's dry season, so I wouldn't worry too much. Today's forecast was RAIN. I think we got a sprinkle. It's been cloudy and cool, but considering Dsis's kids (NY) are playing inthe snow and Dfriend's kids (VA) have a snow day, I'll take cloudy and cool. Enjoy!!

I'll be there the same time. I'm trying not to worry. I did notice that is the forecast for Orlando most of the time. Cloudy, chance of rain etc.... Hang in there we will be OK. :flower:

If you haven't noticed, and I'm sure you have, the forecast changes every day. I'm there the 9-13th (leaving Friday :cool1: ) and I've been on the edge of my chair. Forecast looks pretty good right now. I should be more worried about the CLT airport getting socked with 2" of snow. :rotfl:

Anyway, Dec is one of the lowest months for total precip so keep your fingers crossed and just be thankful there is no hurricane out there! :wizard:

I leave Thur and we are supposed to be doing MVMCP that night. They are calling for rain and Im not happy over it. I know from past experince that the weather in Orlando is ever changing.

I've been worrying about this too. We also leave Thurs. and will have 4 "newbies" with us who have never been. I'm mostly concerned about fireworks/Fantasmic. The doppler radar looks pretty clear right now, let's hope that the rain moves along quickly.

We were there three weeks ago and every morning they said rain and cold on the weather channel and every day they were wrong!!So don't worry to much about it. One day they said severe thunderstorms so we didn't go to the park and it was a beautiful day. Dont worry to much you will have a great time either way. :goodvibes

If it's accurate as the weather forecasts seem to be around where I live (Nashville, TN), I wouldn't worry about it. Seems they can't tell you in the a.m. what the weather's gonna be at noon!

We're there 12/10-12/17 and I'm worried. We were there about the same time frame in '03 and it was gorgeous. Rained in the am one day.

We will be there Dec. 10-20 so figured we would get at least a couple really good days but now worrying it will be to cool to go to the water park. Am I the only crazy one that wants to go to the water park in December? From Seattle so even a single dry day is still a great break for us but can anyone tell me if we will freeze at the water park. I know they heat the pools but any chance they have those area heaters around the water park to make it feel more like summer? My teen wants to work on her tan, dont get much opportunity for that here at home.

See the really cool thing about FL weather is 10 - 20% chance of rain means just that. There is a 10 - 20 % chance you MAY see rain at SOME point during that 24 hrs. Here in FL we very rarely have totally rained out days except when there is a.......well I won't even go there (that season is offically over for the year). :)

My Hubby LOVES that there is a chance for rain. The rains keeps a lot of people out of the parks, and the short lines become NON EXISTENT.

Bring some dollar stores ponchos and a great attitude and you guys will have a wonderful time!!!

If I'm remembering my statistics correctly, water makes up 80% of your body, and covers more than 75% of the earth's surface. So why then, is it such a big deal that a little bit of it is falling from the sky? Last I checked, I didn't melt the last time I got caught in a rainstorm. Unless you're the wicked witch of the west, I don't think you need to be worried ;)

I went last December for eight days right around the time that you are going and the weather forcast said rain chances for every day of the trip. We got a five minute sprinkle on one day!! Don't worry, even if it rains, you will have a great time!!

I cant wait to go to WDW. If it rains we will make the best of it. Have fun everyone!

I have been in the pools in Nov and Dec before in the middle of the day. Not too bad as long as it is sunny and in the 70's. Just thought I would mention, if you haven't seen the rehab schedule, Blizzard Beach is closed until 12/25.
You'll have to "chill out" at TL. :sunny:

We are going the 14th-20th also. I can't wait! I have been checking the 15 day Accuweather forcast constantly too lol! We have snow here in Massachusetts, and its about 30 degrees, so 60s and 70s will be like a heat wave to us!! :sunny:

We go every year this part of December and have rarely had problems with rain. However, it's in the high 60's, at best, and way too cold for a water park IMHO. We've actually found the temperature drops a bit each day starting this week, so I expect it'll be sweatshirt or even warm jacket weather by Christmas.

I guess I better get a bigger back pack for our trip. I don't really get cold but my DW and DD's do. Are the lockers big at the parks? Big enough to hold a back pack? Can you enter them more than once or do you have to keep repaying for them?
