I was reading a review, and someone posted that the princesses don't come out at the CRT dinner, that it's not a character meal. Is that true?? How do the lunch and the dinner differ?

Thanks so much,

KC:)

Actually, I did some research (search is my friend ;) )and made a phone call to Disney dining, and I'm still a little confused. Who exactly, apart from the Fairy Godmother and the mice, usually attends? I think my DD and I would be OK with the dinner - as much as I love to see the characters, it's sometimes a little awkward for us, because we're both 'all grown up' - but I'm just curious, now, how the dinner works.

Thanks for any info,

KC:)

That's right...dinner is not a character meal...they do have you take a pic with Cindy when you first arrive and I believe Fairy Godmother is there as well. But they do not have the characters walking around to the tables for pics and autographs...I know:sad2: what a bummer...

Well, my first reaction was 'what a bummer'. But then I thought about it. It's just my DD17 and myself (we're going to celebrate her starting college!), and although we like characters, and although she really wants to have her picture taken with Cinderella, I think that the meet and greet downstairs and the show (whatever that is - any descriptions?), plus a yummy dinner and Mom-Daughter time will be splendid!

Look for us - we'll be dressed as hobos!

. . . a yummy dinner and Mom-Daughter time will be splendid! . . .

1) We don't think the food at CRT is all that grand.
2) You are paying for the atmosphere, not the food.
3) I would do somewhere else for that special dinner.

Well, I know the food elsewhere gets better reviews, but the reason we'll be dressed as hobos is because we'll be going to MNSSHP that evening - we have a 4pm ADR. So eating at Wolfgang Pucks would be better, certainly, but not nearly as convenient. And DD made a happy 'squee' sound when I said we were eating in the castle, so basically, they could serve me a hot dog and I'd do it, for her  .
