No parade??

If the Celebrate A Dream parade is closing 12/3/2013 and the new parade does not start until 3/2014 does that mean there will be no day time parade in MK during this time?

Oh so sad! We love the Celebrate parade. I really hope it's replaced with something amazing, & right away.

I saw that post in the News & Updates box and have to say that I have heard differently. I have it on very good authority that the last showing of CADCT will occur on 12/20 and (because the last MVMCP is that night) then the Xmas parade will take over until early January. THEN, from that point until early to mid March, there will be no parade. From every indication thus far, a 12/3 closing does not seem likely.

There won't be a full-blown parade, but the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party will continue to be performed multiple times a day.

Thanks . Ok I may just cry over IASW closing. When we went to Disneyland in 1999 it was closed due to getting ready for the holidays. Back then I said I wanted to come back one year to see it at Christmas time. Well that time has come 14 yrs later and I still won't see IASW at Christmas time.

I think the title of your post is a little misleading. They are not doing away with the 3 pm parade, it is a temporary stoppage. The current parade is being replaced.

Edit: I'm glad I got MVMCP tickets for the 1st, I debated it since it's my travel day, at least I can see IASW that night before it closes.

The sappy IASW lyrics become a little more poignant when you know that they were written by the Sherman Brothers.

As explained by Robert Sherman in "The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story" bio, the lyrics have meaning beyond the visuals of the attraction. Robert is a WWII Vet who was involved with the liberation of Dauchau Concentration Camp. The biography is available on DVD, check your local public library.

Oh this is my little one's favorite ride! This makes me sooooo sad. Looks like we can catch it our first day & that's it.
