No more Studio mini-fridges?

Beverage coolers are not really comparable to a mini fridge. If you fill a beverage cooler with drinks, food, dairy, and some leftovers, you’re gonna have a bad time. Disney probably thought they covered their bases with allowing people to store meds in their walk in, but didn’t account for breastfeeding mothers who need to store milk.
This is a huge issue on DCL as well.... I believe the Magic has fridges but the Wish has a beverage cooler for example....

Sorry to hijack the thread but do the studios at BLT have a mini fridge or a beverage cooler? Staying at a 1 bedroom at Saratoga beforehand and plan on bringing over the groceries I buy when swapping resorts.
Last November, in an accessible room with a tub - 7714, this was the fridge. I was not happy about it. I'm willing to give BLT some grace since a desperately needed refurb is coming soon. So maybe this was temporary.

I had the same experience with the pictured fridge in Nov. It didn't keep everything cold when it was full. We had drinks, yogurt, little milk cartons and some leftovers stuffed in.

Wow! They must have been put in at SSR between Feb 2024 and May 2024 because in February, 2024 at SSR we had the standard mini fridge (not a beverage cooler) with no freezer section
I was in OKW in December. The first studio I was in in building 14, had what seemed like a brand new two door mini-fridge, i.e., separate door for the freezer section. The second studio I had in building 23 and also a studio I had after at Kidani, both had the old style mini-fridge with a freezer section with the inside plastic flap over it.

It’s still totally inconsistent at SSR. Studios may have any of 3 different units by my count.

I bought DVC to stay in first class, luxury accommodations.
Personally, I need to keep food frozen, as I usually stay for at least 10 days. In a 45 degree beverage cooler with a warning that you should not store food there, I will have a big problem.
And I hardly think it's a "conspiracy theory" to think that DVC wants to maximize their profits.

DVC is probably one of the better timeshare products on the market but it should never be confused with luxury.

I while traveling we stay at much cheaper hotels than what you can rent a studio for, they all manage to have mini fridges in them. How on earth can I pay $175 for a room with a mini fridge but when I pay $400-700 for a DVC room they cannot afford a mini fridge. We just bought one for our house and they are not expensive.

It has nothing to do with cost. It has everything to do with what most owners want, or at least what DVC thinks most owners want. It's up to us to tell them what we actually want. For example, how many of us told DVC we want a brown Marriott built beside the Polynesian? My guess is not many.
