No more Stanby line for A&E?

It will be interesting to see how the day plays out. Will they turn people away from the standby line the entire day.

And if now the original article is to be believed, what will happen after the "testing" or will this be in "testing" just like the beginnings of the whole MM+/FP+ rollout.

Ah, I wondered how long it would take for the whole "testing" thing to come up.

Sounds like a great night to pop that Groundhog Day DVD into the player....popcorn::

That would mean no one staying off site would ever get a chance to see them. Considering they are routinely already sold out at 12:01am at your 60 day mark, you'd never have any left at the 30 day mark.

Oh right, that makes sense. I knew there must be something I was missing.

And what would be your guess? Is this a permanent change to the A&E queue or will they test this for a few days and then go back to the previous method

Wait....I thought you still had a laser disc player. My you've gotten fly...;)

As long as my FP+ for September is still valid... then I don't mind the change. It sure beats waiting in a 5 hour line! I do think it stinks for those that cant get to the park at opening... but we had this same problem with legacy FP... I'm remembering the stampedes to TSM

Great time to test don't you think? The busiest time of the Summer - tour groups everywhere, 4-5 weeks before school starts for many.....

Disney - from IT, to Park Operations, to GR, is a huge beast - especially when talking about change in processes. Optimistically, you can chalk this up to another milestone they hit, planned for and are now implementing at the appropriate, expected time. Pessimistically, you can chalk this up to a reactive response to something they didn't anticipate.

Decide for yourself.....

And what exactly is your opinion of this being a test or not. That is the simple question that I asked you.

I didnt see your answer in all that sniping verbiage.

I'm sure all of the passes for today is gone. They are turning people away at the line that doesn't have a FP for it at all. What does the line at City Hall looks like from all of the complaints they are receiving from the people that can't get in to these the frozen girls?

It's called interpolation.....

I like to be an optimist and hope that Disney have better process in place and have more than enough data collected through the many, many months this has been in production - besides the years and years of collected ride capacity and throughput statistics, so that testing would not be necessary.

Besides, they telegraphed this step back in the beginning of May......

Has anyone heard how they are monitoring this yet? Does everyone in your party have to be there? Can you get more than one time in a day. Come at 9:00 get one come back at 10:00 get another?? If you already have a fo do they let you get this also?
What about the other rides? Still have not heard anything about soarin. So much for park hopping if you want to do this and can not run with masses.

This should be interesting.

Umm it says non-transferable.

I wonder if the CM givng them out is scanning admission, so they really can't be transferred. That would also help them enforce today only, since it would/could show up in MDE as like an extra FP/event entry.

FWIW, so did the old Fastpass tickets. (FWIW = for what it's worth) :teacher:

This is getting more and more like all our awesome conversations back in the day. CRT and non-transferable all in the same thread. Do not invoke the beast.....oh wait....too late. :)

This is all giving me a headache. The constant changes are impossible to keep up with.
