No more Stanby line for A&E?

All these constant changes are making me crazy! You get to the point you think you know how it all works, then Wham, they change how something else works! How do guests who don't follow the boards ever know what the heck is going on???!!

I think this makes A&E almost like a disconnected FP!

I hope they have these in October when we are there! We are always there at RD - if we do manage to get a FP+ for them, I might even cancel if we can get a 30-40 minute wait locked in!

But others that at 1000 look at a the ticket for 1730 and say "yep, no problem".. only to have had to deal with a melt-down and the loss of the princess pen, and ...whatever... by the time 1730 hours rolls around they are like "No way, forget about it, we need to be on the bus back to the resort."

That's when you pixie dust some guests with your paper fastpasses. :wizard:

Besides I'm sure the same thing is happening with families who are able to only book late fp's. You book a late time because it's the only one available and you end up not being able to use it anyways because of tired, cranky kids.

If they put a Meet and Greet at DHS, won't the children/guests wonder how Anna and Elsa can be singing on stage and greeting guests all at the same time?

Of course, are the children already asking how Anna and Elsa can be in Magic Kingdom, and DHS all at the same time.

Or am I just being silly?

Mickey is in many places all at once. Does anyone over analyze this.

All rhetorical questions, of course.

I think they do ave characters that are in parades stop their Meet & greets so to avoid the situation where someone could see them virtually at the same time in two places - but wont' stop at meals, etc. since that is isolated.

OK lets call it 20 needed for a M&G. You're telling me in Ny and LA alone, there aren't 20 out of work actresses who could fill the role?

I don't think the issue is that the actresses don't exist. But you can only audition those that apply. A PP mentioned they have been casting for them continually since the demand became obvious. They can only work with those that apply. If all these perfect girls out there in NY or LA are in NY or LA they aren't very well candidates for the job, no matter how much they look like the sisters.

I am happy to know I'm not the only one thinking this way. Although if it turns out to be a mad dash pushing people down type of thing, I'll keep it. But I do sorta think of it like a disconnected FP.

Doesn't the corporation employ any casting directors? If I was an out of work actor sending head shots all over, but was relegated to waiting tables in Manhattan and my agent gets a call saying WDW wanted me to audition for a major role in their theme parks, I'd fire my agent if he said anything but absolutely.

Can you go directly to the line to get the return time or do you have to go to the queue first, see if you make it in, and then be directed to a different line? Where is the line for the return time.

Why are either Gaston or the Beast in the park?

If you line up past the entrance of the outside que you will be directed to the spot to pick up your paper pass. At least that is how I understood it.

Working for Disney in a performer role, I believe, requires the actor/actress to be an equity member. Many young actors and actresses don't want to have to join equity right away, so they wouldn't want to work for Disney.

The only reason I say this is because a friend of mine is a performer for a cruise line. She would make an awesome Disney princess/performer, but she went the cruise line route because she didn't want to have to join equity.

Sounds like me talking about FP+ "Testing" last fall.

I kept saying this isn't "Testing" this is phased deployment. This isn't how things might be, this is how things are going forward.

People kept pointing to Disney saying "This is just a test" and I kept saying no in the operations business tests have "Start Dates and End Dates." When you have start dates without end dates, it's Deployment. ;)

I thought I remember reading that Disney planned to eventually move to a complete reserved riding system for all of it's attractions. There will be no more stand by lines eventually, every moment of your vacation at Disney will be reserved and scheduled months in advance.

Honestly, it sucks and as they move closer and closer to it, I will move farther and farther away from Disney.

Yes, she is very beautiful and looks just like Elsa. That doesn't mean she has the rest of the qualifications to be a Disney character performer.

I'm coming late to this thread. Can't catch up.
Is this like a limited quantity, old-style fast pass?

Is this like:
60 days out X# FP+
30 days out Y# FP+
Day of - last slots
